Nice hotel and location. Rooms need improving, not all rooms had a bedside lights or sofa, vanity stuff etc. The best thing about the hotel was the rustic lobby entrance. It was stunning, shame the theme didn’t follow through in the rooms

Great stay. Yes! Amazing included breakfast. Comfortable firm bed. Heads up- hard to find entrance. On side of street vs at the point or front of building.

Very correct hotel in the middle of San Jose. Nice dinner and super breakfast. Service is great (Thank you Luis and colleagues). Rooms are ok. Basic for European standards but clean and tidy!

Excellent hotel. An oasis in the middle of San Jose. Valet parking, clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds, food was excellent, great location to explore San Jose museums and national theater was perfect. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in the history of the hotel. Highly recommended!

We stayed in La Dama Elegante room 607. It was probably the best room in the hotel. Service was top notch all round: housekeeping, reception and the restaurant Azotea Calle 7. Food was lovely. I have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here one night just before leaving Costa Rica. The hotel is beautiful and has charm—from the hanging plants to the typewriters, calculators, and telephones in the lobby…it’s just a quaint hotel. We loved the lobby area as it had a variety of seating areas and they offer coffee, tea, water (hot and cold), and milk throughout the afternoon and evening. Our room was quiet and clean and comfortable…everything we needed for a great night’s sleep. We would definitely stay here again!

What an absolutely perfect little hidden urban oasis this is. The public spaces throughout the hotel, especially the 4th floor bar and outdoor patio, and the main reception room, are gorgeous. The food at the Azotea is amazing, as are the cocktails. Do not miss the guacamole! Oh, and the breakfast buffet is superb. The room was fairly spartan, but entirely comfortable and enjoyable. Also, the location is GREAT, so close to some great gems and sites in central San Jose. Best of all, the staff here are the absolute best - from Pedro who greets you at the front (and has great tips for things to do in the area), Luis at the reception desk, to EVERYONE working the restaurant and patio. The smiles and warmth and genuine. Hotel Presidente is world class. We hope to come back soon.
