SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

I stayed here for a quick getaway. IMO this is the place to stay. The beach is across the street and can walk everywhere within Carlsbad Village. I was upgraded due to my Marriott status and my room had an ocean view. The rooms are tastefully done, and the bed is so comfy. There is a microwave and mini fridge. They have a decent breakfast. I really like the breakfast quiches and there is plenty of fresh fruit, apples/bananas/oranges. Plenty of seating and super clean. Everything in this hotel was extremely clean and smelled fresh. Upon check-in I was given freshly made sangria. SCORE!!! Brennan and Darrel were delightful, extremely friendly and efficient. They were a pleasure to chat with and had plenty of recommendations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You must go up to the rooftop lounge Tower 29 to have happy hour and watch the sunset. There are firepits and plenty of seating. They also have a full menu. My HH pretzel bites were the bomb and a huge portion. The rooftop is a true gem. Housekeeping was gracious and friendly. I asked Antonio for extra towels and water, and he brought them to my room. I truly had a wonderful stay. I was sad to leave. Parking is in the garage and secure. It is 20 bucks, but I walked everywhere to explore and eat. I highly recommend staying here and will be definitely returning.

I had a wonderful stay at the SpringHill Suites in Carlsbad! The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to unwind. What really stood out was the staff—especially the team handling breakfast. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everyone had what they needed. It made for such a pleasant start to each day. Highly recommend this location for anyone visiting the area!

Hard to beat location in Carlsbad, the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable with great beds. Every staff member we encountered were welcoming and friendly. Rooftop is the real bonus, lovely and quiet for an early morning sit in the sun, great for an evening drink at the rooftop bar.

The beds were soft, the facilities were clean and the staff was extremely courteous and welcoming. The views are amazing and Paola and Heidi were nothing short of phenomenal in facilitating our work event. They exceeded any expectations I or my organization had and we highly recommend this location for any work event or weekend getaway.

We recently utilized this Springhill Suites in Carlsbad for one of our company outings. This was the best decision we have made as our previous hotel was not nearly as accommodating. We had over 30 people staying in the hotel each with their own rooms and received great praise from all of them following the trip. The location could not be better with (under 5 min) easy walking access to all restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and entertainment in Carlsbad village. While we did not specifically visit the beach during this work trip, several of our guests said it was a simple walk across the street to a much less crowded beach vs. Oceanside a few miles down. We also hired the hotel to plan and execute a dinner event on their rooftop that was just perfect. The food was great, the staff was extremely helpful, and the rooftop itself has great ocean views and a phenomenal sunset. Overall, the rooftop was a hit for many of our guests across the whole week we stayed there. Having secured underground parking was also a huge plus. I personally have stayed in the general area for several years and none of the other parking arrangements I have utilized have been as easy to access and as clean as this one. Taking everything into account we will definitely be utilizing this hotel for all of our future events.
