Clarion Inn Idaho Falls Riverfront

Location is fab, very central. Facilities are all modern and clean. Staff are wonderful and have gone out of their way to help. I've stayed here before and would do so again.

Breakfast hours could be longer, another hour maybe.

Room was dirty when we got there. Parts of the room were unfinished or under construction. Did not feel like a safe hotel at all.

Daughter liked the pool

No dead bolt on door. Gave the room to someone else after we were checked in and a group of guys walked into our room while my wife and daughter were there alone.

It is in a beautiful part of town by the river but not up kept.

I arrived at 5:30 and the room was still not ready. I requested a disabled room as we are disabled, the tub and bathroom had no grab bars and was hard to get out of the tub. We have service animals & they needed registration paperwork, which is a HIPPA violation and charged me for pets. I explained that they are service animals but was told I could stay at another motel. The white bed spreads were filthy...I went to the office, as there's not a phone in the room, and asked if they would bring us some clean ones. The owner was extremely rude, and asked if I was sure. Then he called someone and asked him to go to our room and see they were presentable. If I was right he would call and get housekeeping to make the beds while my sister and I HAD to wait in the lobby. We had been driving all day and we were exhausted and not feeling well. Needless to say, I didn't wait, I stripped them off the bed and put them in the hallway. No one came to check or bring us clean ones. The floors were so sticky that our slippers stuck to them. There were some items left from the previous guest. We left early and didn't go to breakfast as due to the condition of our room we didn't think it would be sanitary. We were looking forward to using the hot tub that evening but didn't use that either. I was extremely polite and professional while asking for clean bedding and couldn't believe how rude they were. The gentleman that checked me in was extremely polite, his second day, I didn't fight paying for my animal, as there was another guest fighting for hers. I have worked in hospitality and would have fired the owner on the spot. They need some training on customer service, service animals and how to clean a room. There was only two towels and one wash cloth for my sister and I to share. While walking our animals we noticed how tall the weeds were and so much garbage just laying everywhere. It would take someone maybe 15 minutes a day to pick up trash.

The premises were very dirty. Noone cleaned our room and I had to go to the desk to get towels because Noone would answer the phone.

The other visitors were laid a good portion of the night. They were in the hall yelling at each other multiple times time during the night.
