Staff and unprofessional

The employees are nice and work hard. Rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. Parking was never an issue and I stayed from August - October.

Friendly atmosphere. Cheryl was very accommodating and helpful. Pet friendly, clean rooms with comfy beds. There are good places to eat near by. Great location 👌

Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure my experience was smooth and enjoyable, helping coordinate my room stay with great care and professionalism. Despite often being busy and managing the front desk on her own, Cheryl treated every guest—myself included—with the utmost respect and kindness. She even took the time to recommend some fantastic local restaurants, which made my stay all the more memorable. Cheryl’s dedication and customer-first attitude truly stood out. She is a credit to your team, and I’m grateful for the exceptional service she provided.

Whenever I’m in the area, Extended Stay America Mt. Olive is always my go-to because I know I’ll be well taken care of. The team here isn’t just polite—they’re genuinely attentive, proactive, and truly seem to care about each guest’s comfort. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given), and the atmosphere is consistently calm and welcoming. The front desk staff—especially the manager, V—sets the tone with warm greetings and sincere hospitality every time I pass through the lobby. That kind of care and consistency is rare, and it’s exactly what makes this hotel stand out. I’ve noticed a few negative reviews that don’t reflect the real experience here. It’s pretty clear that some of those complaints come from guests who were asked to leave—not because of anything the hotel did wrong, but because they didn’t follow the rules or respect the property. Whether it’s failing to pay, being disruptive, or disregarding policies, management did the right thing by protecting the comfort and safety of everyone else. Leaving a one-star review out of spite isn’t a reflection of the hotel—it’s a reflection of the guest. In fact, it says a lot about how seriously management takes their responsibility to maintain a positive environment for all. If you’re looking for a clean, safe, and genuinely welcoming place to stay, this is it. If you can’t respect others or follow simple rules—well, the problem isn’t the hotel. And you’ll likely have the same issue anywhere you go.

While the beds were comfortable, the lights over the bed did not work, the television only worked intermittently and the bathtub wasn’t very clean. Thank goodness we only stayed one night. Sorry to say I will not be recommending this place to anyone.
