Extended Stay America Suites - Mt Olive - Budd Lake

I had an excellent experience thanks to the front desk woman, Shonta. From the moment I walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. She greeted me with a smile, handled check-in/check-out efficiently, and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. What stood out most was her attentiveness and genuine care in making sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Whether managing calls, helping other guests, or addressing my requests, she stayed calm, composed, and friendly the entire time. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and represents the company with a high level of professionalism. Staff like her make a real difference in the overall experience, and I truly appreciated her help. She’s a great asset to the team!

We are in between homes and we're currently staying at the this ESA with our puppy. The staff are always friendly and helpful. All rooms come with a kitchenette with a full fridge, stove with 2 burners, and a microwave. This isn't the Waldorf Astoria, it's important to set your expectations accordingly. The complimentary breakfast is pre-packaged muffins and coffee, so don't plan on that for a full meal. The staff is accommodating; I would like to personally thank Cheryl, Cherish, and Joe. If you are looking to for an extended stay in Northern New Jersey, you should avoid the other ESA in the area.

I have been here for almost three years. In between living situations. But have been in no rush to leave because how truly pleasant I find it here. I have found it clean, friendly, peaceful and quiet. And although I don't own a pet, the pet friendly environment brings an energy and joy to the place. The staff are what make the difference. Extremely friendly and helpful. Always upbeat and ready with a smile and friendly greeting. Violetta, Cheryl, Cherish and Joe are simply fantastic. They are very proactive; call you when you have mail or a delivery, bring mail to your room, and follow up on requests without you having to follow up. They have made a difficult time in my life simply more bearable by their kindness.

Not a single cup to be found to rinse our teeth.

Hotel smelled like animals. People are permitted to bring pets but it doesn't have to smell. Breakfast was a joke. Coffee was awful. I was supposed to have a queen bed. Had two twins. My fiance and I had to sleep in separate beds it was so small. Not worth the money.

The front desk service was awesome. The person that day was great and super helpful. That is where the good part ends. The location is tired and appears to be used as temporary housing. The room was tired and in rough shape. I could see that an attempt was made to clean the room, as best as could be done. The body odor smell was overpowering. The furniture was worn out, the tv an afterthought. Just not good. We immediately left, less than 5 minutes in the room. Pictures are very misleading as this might have been at a better time. The parking lot had cars that seemed to be storage locations. Again when we decided to leave the host was awesome even refunding our money. I wrote to the manager to share the awesome customer experience - but that could not save the dismal property.
