Best Western Turquoise Inn & Suites

Excellent stay with super helpful staff!

Everything was great!

When we arrived, we learned that the pool (featured in the Hotels.com description) was closed due to an ongoing maintenance problem. We went to our room and discovered the floors had not been vacuumed and the bedding was not fresh--pubic hairs on the sheets. A large mirror was cracked in several places--a safety hazard. We complained to the manager and she admitted that there were serious issues with housekeeping. She offered a full refund if we wanted to find other lodging. By this time it was late and we didn't expect we'd be able to find anything. She, however, went above and beyond and called the manager at a competitor hotel to see if she could accommodate us. We were not expecting that! The property gets a rating of 1; the manager deserves a 10+ and a better facility to manage.

The pool and spa were being rehabilitated and not available. If we knew we would’ve booked elsewhere. Signs of wear/tear - cracked sink, scratched floors, squeaky shower, brown lawn, featured fountain not working. Service was helpful and breakfast was good.

I stayed here about 5 years ago and both pools did not work then. So call ahead to make sure the pools are working before you book. However, the breakfast is one of the best at any best western. There is a very good Mexican restaurant just down the street that you can walk to. Rooms are nice and clean. Do not hear any outside noise, but I would ask to be close to the breakfast area.

Door didn't open and shut well. None of the pools/hot tub(s) were open...they didn't even have water in them.

Minuses: Member of housekeeping staff unexpectedly opened door unannounced and without knocking, and leftover food container was found in mini fridge. Pluses: Front desk manager was extremely understanding and apologetic, and was helpful in finding us another hotel to go to.

Misty who checked us in was very friendly and had excellent customer service.

The property is showing its age. I booked in April, and it’s my fault I didn’t check back before my trip. I specifically wanted a property with a pool, but the pool is closed at this time. It’s not even filled up. We liked the breakfast and spacious room. The staff was friendly. The area outside the rooms was dirty and could use attention.
