This hotel is clearly going down hill. The pools are not open and does not look like they will ever be. The hotel is run down especially the outside and courtyard area. It is also a motel which feels unsafe in a not great neighborhood.

Loved everything except the fact both pools were closed.

Was informed after arrival that both pools were closed due to negligence from previous management but wasnt informed by website or at time of booking.

Exceptional staff..very friendly. This is a nice hotel and they are working hard to keep it up and improve it.

Would never make this mistake again. Had two nights booked, moved elsewhere for the second night knowing I would never be refunded. Unsafe. Dirty. Shabby. Loud. Left at 5 am after doors slammed around me all night, people passed out on the grass outside the lobby.

We had a first floor room (as requested) on the parking lot, which worked well for us because we had a lot of stuff with us and it was easy to load/unload. There is no elevator here. You can walk across the street to City Market. Breakfast was the usual basic buffet and refreshed frequently. Our room was two queens and was decent sized, with the usual amenities. Small refrigerator kept our liquids very cold. The bathroom seemed to be sized for a six year old. The toilet was the shortest I've ever seen, as was the sink vanity and tub. The shower had good pressure. The internet was strong enough for me to process photos when it was working, but it was down for an entire afternoon. The pool was completely dry and unavailable. The website did not indicate that. We had planned for mornings at the park, and some pool time in the afternoon, so were disappointed. We often stay in Best Westerns as you can predict that you'll get decent accommodations for a reasonable price. I would look at other options in the area before I stayed in this one again.
