Caracas Cumberland

Basic, old, slow elevator at traffic time, TV too old to function, expensive for what it is but ok for late arrival, early morning departure...

Over priced. The staff at the reception desk and the cleaning staff were wonderful. The breakfast staff was horrible. They did not clean tables on a timely manner, the food was always cold. 45 minutes before breakfast ended, they did not have food available. The staff was not friendly.

One of the two toilets in my rooms did not work from day one. Always had to wait at least 15-30 minutes for elevator. Two elevators, one was always not working. There wwere days/times both elevators were not working. One afternoon had to nap 2 hours in lobby until elevator was working. On checkout day, 5:30 AM, had to carry my luggage down from 13th floor because no elevator service. Desk clerk said there was no one to assist. 2nd day had to wait until 9PM, after many calls to front desk, to get clean towels. 2nd day had to wait until 7 PM. Last night there, the one towel had not been changed.. The most unique experience in all my years of travel.

This hotel is the wort I been ever in my life, condition of the hotel is awfaul, carpet in room dirty, bathroom dirty, in very bad shape. One night I request an iron and was told thet do not let guest to iron in room but was told by the maid she could iron my cloth for a fee but could not request invoice for this service, air conditiones did not work. upon check in ( arrived at hotel al 3:15 PM ) had to wait 45 minutes to get my room, altough i asked several times i was never recive and answer. request to change rooms and was told it was impossibe. service over all not good at all. employees rude and with angry faces alwayd. TAKE AWAY THIS POPERTY FROM YOUR OPTIONS !!!! im hotelier and i know what im talking about

I stayed in this hotel twice, for the first time me and my girlfriend were in the 12nd floor, the lift did not work and we had to use the stairs. The day we left the hotel we could not take a shower before leave because there was no water, according the responsible it was under maintance, it should take 15 minutes, we waited for 2 hours and nothing....

Room was very large with adequate, clean facilities. Continental breakfast was adequate but the same every morning. Staff helpful when language barrier was able to be breached.

Very bad recommendation, nothing works well there.

Too expensive to stay in Caracas. Some people were very nice but the most important thing we asked, was too give us a 6.30 morning call so we could be on time for a an important appointment.We never received it and when we asked at reception we were told that perhaps our phone was not working.

I stayed during my short visit to Caracas, Hotel is very good and confort and affordable

This hotel was exactly what I needed. It was very centrally located a short walk from the main metro line, and a ten minute walk to the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and the Botanical Garden. There were two very nice GYMS close by (one of them an state of the art Gold's GYM) The breakfast was generous --in fact, more like a brunch. You did not have to eat for the next 12 hours. The service was delightful, prompt and welcoming. The hotel is getting old, but it is kept up. While everyone told me to be careful, I felt very safe and protected in the area. There were all kinds of security personnel at all time. This was a great deal.
