"Fantastic stay!"

Super friendly and amazing staff! Dinner at the hotel recommended - we got to try winter and spring menus. Delicious food and great variety of drinks! Our dog got the best treats ever - best wee sausages :) Knipoch's interior is stylish, with well renovated rooms and bathrooms. One of the best hotels we ever stayed in and would love to come back one day!

"We left early after one night of a 2 night stay."

We liked the room and location. Some staff had better communication skills than others.

Food too rich and over processed for us. Also very expensive. Tables too close together in dinning area. meant you were overhearing other guests conversations all the time

"Pretty ok but not perfect"

View from the hotel was great. The location is pretty good, easy access from Oban but out in the country. Bed very comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful, though at least one obviously wasn't really experienced in fine dining service.

Food prices. Breakfast was over £16 for continental, over £26 for cooked which included a bowl of porridge. It'd be fine porridge indeed to justify that. In my room the lights by the bed and dressing table were so low down they weren't much use, so to read needed the main light with the only switch being by the door. Maybe minor, but still a niggle.

Quality of fittings, furnishings, history, location

The door to the bedroom didn’t block off corridor noise so sound proofing wasn’t as good as say a modern soundproofed room.
