"Dirty and disgusting rooms - don't consider staying here."

I would not recommend the Reef Club Resort to anyone. The gardens were beautiful, the bbq area clean and it was so convenient to the beach and the shops, however the room was dirty. The utensil drawers had cockroach poo in them, the sink had the last peoples food in it from the dishwashing water, the bathroom needed a good scrub and the common areas only got vacuumed once in at least 7 days. They also only change your towels after 7 days which is horrible as they dont dry between uses due to the humidity. I asked for more towels but was told that I would need to pay. In speaking to other guests they had the same problems with the filth and complained to reception but were treated rudely. I didn't bother complaining as I didn't want to ruin our holiday and it was all pre-paid for anyway. For over $400/night it is not worth it.

The pool and location was good

It was dirty and dusty. Room not cleaned over 10 day stay only sheets and towels changed after 5 days.

All the Apartments are privately owned and some owners have created beautiful spaces. Management confirmed that some of their owners are very dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable stay for their guests. We found this in 2023 when we discovered Apt 46 ! It was lovely, and since we are in Port Douglas many times per year, we always book 46 ! We notice the subtle changes and improvements with each visit and apparently the owner has further plans to improve after the busy period, which is great !! As another contributor said ...Reef Club Resort is our Happy Place !

"Autumn break from Sydney"

The apartment was clean and inviting. Port Douglas is an exciting place with plenty of activities. The unit we were in was generously appointed and had a well appointed kitchen to allow my family to eat in. The swimming pool is great and PD itself is only a 3 minute driver or 15 minutes walk. Well worthwhile

"Our happy place."

Loved our stay at Reef Club Resort. We stay here a couple of times a year and it is very much our happy place. Great staff, fantastic pool, close to town and beach and lovely gardens. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed to cook basic meals. We will be back!!!
