Occidental Tamarindo - All Inclusive

Belarmina at buffet gave us good service. Monkeys were fighting on the room and hallway in the middle of the night. A wild side of CR. Food is good, variety is standard. Beach is difficult to go for walks, volcanic rocks to cross over and small river. Pool is standard. Animation is standard activities. Older resort but nice walkways. Lots of stairs from lobby to main pool area and eating restaurant...too much for seniors.

Really enjoyed our recent stay. It was a last minute decision and I am thankful that we chose Occidental Tamarindo. Everything was excellent but t would not give it a 5 star simply because it doesn't include some amenities that a 5 star resort would include. You may get a little tired of the buffet but there is much to choose from and the a la carte restaurants were very good. It did exceed my expectation. I would go back.

We spent a week at the resort. It has a beautiful beach with amazing sunsets and is far enough from Tamarindo to feel quieter and more relaxing but close enough to walk into town. We loved the room and the grounds. Had lots of wildlife, especially enjoyed the monkeys and iguanas! The buffet was ok but not as much selection as other Occidental resorts we have stayed at and lacked variety. Food was tasty though. Majority of staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

The resort is quiet but also has activities to keep you entertained. The resort was beautiful, beach was amazing, staff was attentive, rooms were comfortable, location was perfect for venturing out to see local shops and restaurants. We were very happy to be here for a week, our room was just perfect very clean. Food selection and with good service our waitress Genesis was amazing and Big thank you to all the staff including the buffet manager Brayan ..

Friendly staff good location about 20 minute walk to town (very busy) both the japanexe and Italian restaurants were great the pizza was the best. The buffet was local food loved the fried plantain.

The room was nice and bed was comfortable. Staff appeared to always be busy but not enough staff. Was the first time staying at an all inclusive that I lost weight. Would not starve but quality of the food was adequate at best. The town of Tamarindo was excellent. Every other guest we talked to felt the same. Value was not there.

Great time, good service in the restaurants and especially the lobby bar with the daytime bartender Edwin! Beautiful property.

The resort was good value for the money. The beach was great. Food was not exceptional and was generally overcooked. Drinks were inconsistent depending on who made them.

Rooms are clean, a good size, staff are friendly and nice quiet area The beach is beautiful but a little rocky Need to be aware of the undertow in the water Food is okay not a lot of selection at the buffet compared to Mexican Occidental’s Lots of wild life to see at the resort saw monkeys, iguanas, lots of birds and raccoons
