Asbury Ocean Club Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at the Asbury Ocean Club. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We got to check in early. We had fresh towels every day. The bed was super comfortable. The pool deck is stunning. Great food and drinks.

Phone was brokn in the room, told the staff, still not fixes. Besides that Great place, so relaxing Staff was amazing

I went on a short get away and totally enjoyed my stay. Except for the bad weather and inability to take advantage of the property’s outdoor environment pool deck etc.everything was excellent . Thank you for ensuring your guest had a wonderful retreat from the city.

I arrived early from a flight and tried to check in at 11:30. I was told my room was not ready and they would call me as soon as it was. Check is at 4 pm. I spent several hours at the pool with screaming kids and then very loud techno music so was not what I had in vision for my day at a “luxury” hotel. At 3:50 pm I went downstairs to reception to check on my room. I was told they were inspection it. A few minutes after 4 I was escorted to a room “partial ocean view” that was at the far end of the hallway and upon opening the door all I could see was a parking lot that was next to a large outdoor stage. Again, not was is advertised on the website and not what I was paying for. I asked for another room and was taken back downstairs. I was given, after a long review of what rooms they had, another room closer to the main area, Still overlooks a parking area but on the other side which is slightly more appealing and I could actually see the water but its a stretch to call it an ocean view. Michelle who was assisting me could not have been more preofessional. She was patient with my frustrations and did an excellent job. Over the next two days she made sure to have conversations with me each time she saw me. I appreciated the hospitality in such an unfamiliar place. The rest of the staff that I encountered was also very kind and accommodating. Overall the hotel is nice but not exactly what is represented on the website. The room itself is nice and the bed is amazing. Bathroom is small but well done and the shower is good. This is not a place that you will likely have ANY interaction with other guests at the bar or in the lounge area.

Windows and balcony were dirty

Check in and out excellent, however do not ever expect an upgrade. This is our 4th time visiting using amex. Each time we have been told no upgrade availability. Horrible experience at breakfast, served raw pork sausage and undercooked eggs. Restaurant manager was rude and condescending. They removed the charge for the meal, still charged us for coffee and OJ....odd.

Disappointing from first 3 times. We were told you all would do things like put a top sheet on the bed and try to get an end room like we had last time. They said they would note that we were coming in at 1 and when we got there at 1:30 they acted surprised. Also someone moved a workout piece of equipment and I tripped over it and fell and I think I may have cracked a rib Also a Michelin key should have enough staff to set up beach chairs for everyone. The first day we Could barely find 4 seat and we put towels on them. Also I thought you had beach access chairs and umbrellas for guests. With that aside Teresa was great setting up and saving chairs for us our second day. And all wait and room staff were nice. Some of your front desk staff could be better but some were just wonderful. We have always felt so special and pampered On our other visits but not so much this time. Not sure we will be back

We chose this hotel for our anniversary because the online photos and descriptions promised something truly special — spacious, beautifully designed rooms with scenic views and premium touches. It was meant to be a once-a-year memory. Instead, we were given a much smaller room overlooking a parking lot, with none of the standout features shown online. At $1,100 a night, this was shocking. The dining experience was also disappointing, with food that did not taste fresh. We booked on a rainy Tuesday and understood there was a wedding party coming in, but that doesn’t excuse downgrading the quality for other guests. If the cancellation policy had allowed, we would have left that same day. Instead, we spent our anniversary in a room and setting that made us want to check out as soon as possible. I rarely write negative reviews, but when a hotel markets itself as luxury and charges luxury prices, it should deliver on that promise. This was one of the most underwhelming and overpriced stays we’ve ever had.
