Disappointed with breakfast lack of options. Previous owner had nice breakfast & full complement of cheese & crackers with wine as well as hot cookies always available.

Check-in was easy and the room was what we expected. The shower was AMAZING! We were pleasantly surprised by the water pressure in such an old building, it was great!

The breakfast was very limited.

Great central location, friendly staff and common lounge for guests to enjoy. We were. In. One bedroom cottage which was very cosy.

Cottages have kettle, fridge and microwave but no cutlery or plates.

A very atmospheric place.

Terrible soundproofing. Issues with hot water heating in the shower. A very meager breakfast with no variety.

We loved the quaint old hotel and the gas fire in the lounge area. It was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach.

We didn’t like the lack of service from staff. I won’t go into details as I have spoken at length to the staff member who disappointed us and I hope she had taken on board my advice. Breakfast advertised was not provided as the pastries and bagels hadn’t been delivered. (They came at check out time, without an apology) Be aware that although the property is advertised as having parking, it is very limited and likely to be just on the street. A drop off space is provided. No tea or coffee making facilities are provided in rooms. Guests have to go to the dining area to get anything. A microwave is in the room, but I have no idea why as there are no cups or cutlery.
