The bed was the lumpiest and most uncomfortable ever. Front desk did not give me a credit for my voucher from a prior stay. Noisy in the morning. the property was clean, and the room spacious. However the other issues made it very uncomfortable .

All hotels are expensive in Carmel. Most offer an in room meagre “breakfast” but the wayside offers nothing - except coffee and cookies or fruit in reception. The complimentary reusable water bottles are a nice touch and tick the eco box - just a shame they come covered in plastic! Well located for the price

Very nice! The room was clean and well maintained. Parking was easy. Loved the fireplace. The bed was lumpy in the middle. Two grocery stores around the corner so you don't have to eat out every meal. The location was great. It was easy to get to the beach and the highway.
