Wayside Inn

The Wayside Inn is our favorite place to stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The staff is outstanding, always welcoming and helpful. The rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable. We always sleep well at the Wayside! Its location is outstanding, close to shops and restaurants. Ms. Fabulous is perfect for finding the latest fashions. The sliders and beer at Mulligan’s are a great way to refuel at noon, and the happy hour at Vesuvio can’t be beaten. And Terry’s Lounge is perfect for classic charm and a cocktail. We definitely will return to the Wayside again and again!

Property is in a great location and our accommodations were wonderful. Friendly staff and, again, great location.

more water available on the upper floors. the lobby was shut when we reached so we had to walk around and wait for hours till someone got back to us.

Perfectly suited for a short visit of Carmel!

The bed was not real comfortable and caused my wife back trouble.

This was a surprising delight on our family vacation up the California coast. What a delightful way to experience our last night. The rooms are so charming! Interior white painted brick wall, fireplace, high-back sitting arm chairs, Wayne’s coat on the walls, double sinks, jacuzzi tubs. Comfy beds. Welcoming light food buffet in the lobby. Patio with table and chairs. Everything is plush! They thought of everything! High-end amenities. I will definitely stay here again!
