"Great spot in old town"

10.0

We stayed here two nights. Arrived too late for a dinner out, so had wine, charcuterie, and a tasty & unique asparagus appetizer for dinner. The bar staff were so friendly, we stopped back the next night for an after dinner drink. The place was very clean and well located.

"Location and Service- A+"

10.0

I loved the location of the Auberge Saint-Antoine located in lower Old Town. You can walk to the many restaurants, shops, and the river. The funicular and stairs are a short walk which will take you to upper Old Town. We arrived at 12;00 pm looking to check- in early and we were told that check- in time is at 4:00 pm. We ended up checking in around 3:15 pm. I asked if we had a river view or courtyard view and we were told he had a view of a wall. I first thought she was kidding but she was not. If you want a guaranteed view you should book it. The lobby was beautiful and very relaxing. The doorman was always friendly and offered to help. One of the highlights of the hotel was the concierge, Geneviève. She booked a couple of restaurants for us and they both were memorable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Somewhat Overrated"

6.0

We stayed at the Auberge Saint-Antoine for 4 nights in October of 2025. There are many positive reviews about this property so perhaps our expectations were too high but overall we were a bit underwhelmed. The Auberge is located in the Old Town near the water and is very convenient to all sights and transportation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was also helpful (but there was no concierge on Sunday of our stay). We had drinks and food at the bar and it was fine. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant. The breakfast - which seems to receive high praise online - was not good. The coffee was undrinkable. The buffet was a normal hotel buffet and the cooked-to-order food was not very good. We considered whether the first morning was just bad luck but the second day was just as bad so we had breakfast elsewhere the other two mornings. Our stay was booked via the American Express FHR program which, among other things, guarantees a late checkout (4PM). Apparently the Auberge derives a lot of business from this program. We arrived early in the morning and did not expect early check-in but we did expect to be in our room by 4PM. However, we were told at 4PM that (1) we could not have a room because they had too many late checkouts and (2) they had no idea when we would have a room. We waited until almost 6PM and then insisted that our room be prioritized for cleaning. This may have been a mistake because when we got to our room at around 6:30PM, we found a broken table, leftover food in the fridge and dirty towels under the sink. Also, I noticed several other parties still waiting for their rooms at 6:30. Finally, I note that our room on the second floor sometimes smelled of sewage. The smell came and went. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they just said that this sometimes happens on the lower floors and did not try to resolve. We didn't hate it but would definitely try another property on our next visit.

"Great base for Quebec City!"

10.0

The hotel is conveniently located, well appointed and features a very good breakfast served with hospitality. But I was not entirely sure about our choice until I met the concierge Genevieve. With good humor and grace she listened carefully, made excellent suggestions and convenient arrangements. That made the visit to Quebec City five stars and our choice of hotel just fine.

"Excellent pet-friendly hotel"

10.0

Absolutely loved staying here during our trip to Quebec. We selected this hotel after reading multiple excellent reviews, but also because it was pet friendly. They made traveling with our dog so easy and helped us arrange pet-sitting so we could explore the city on our own and have dinner during our trip. The staff were all warm and welcoming and the amenities excellent. Would love to stay again during our next visit to Quebec City. Excellent location in Old Quebec!

"A Very Special Place"

10.0

The hotel, their staff and service are topnotch. We felt very well taken care of from the valet to the concierge to housekeeping the Artefact bar and the restaurant. We booked a room with a fireplace six months out and upon check in, they upgraded us to Le Chambre de Capitaine, which was a loft suite with fireplace, a sitting area, a full bath and a half bath to boot. The bathroom had a shower and a club foot tub. In the room, we were greeted with a welcome note and a lovely pumpkin and gingerbread cake from their bakery. A Bose radio in the room was a nice touch where we dozed off to soothing classical music as we ended our days. That room felt like a warm welcoming hug in the winter with its exposed brick, wood beams, a wonderful view of the Chateau Frontenac, a comfortable King bed and lots of storage places. We never for a second felt closed in during the four days we stayed. Their concierge service went out of their way to help us get a curling experience when all the online curling tours were fully booked while we were in town. That curling experience was certainly another highlight of our stay! Breakfast was great and their hot chocolate was something we looked forward to every day—rich yet not overly sweet. We popped into their gym and spa but did not have time to use them. Maybe next time. Their location is awesome, a three minute walk to Place Royal and Le Petit Champlain. It is so hard to find fault with them even if we tried. The hotel is outstanding and our experience with them is one for the books.

"Enjoyable stay"

10.0

We loved our stay. It was very hospitable and welcoming. It was well located and the rooms very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel. They have a second entrance if you have a baby stroller or in a wheelchair. You don’t need to go through the main door and stairs each time.

"Hip atmosphere but comfortably unpretentious"

10.0

From the inviting lounge off the lobby to the narrow hallways, this place is a real treat to call home for a few days. Service was really good too, from bellhop assistance to the front desk. We had left our charger in the room after check out and no issues, even an offer to deliver it to us.
