breakfast very good....maybe the coffee machine needs more space. The corridor is tight and people were having to queue. A second coffee machine?? could be good.

The hotel staff were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The room was a good size for a solo traveller and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with the central train station just across the street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city and the old town. The hotel is housed in a historic building full of character and charm, which adds to its unique atmosphere and appeal.

The only downside was that I had to purchase an additional power adapter to charge my phone. It would be helpful if adapters were available for guests or if more universal power outlets were provided.

The location of this hotel was perfect and such a beautiful building. We appreciated the fans in the room as it was warm and not equipped with AC.

Due to the location it was very busy and the breakfast area was very cramped and overcrowded. They did have an overflow room that had to be opened and that did accommodate many more people. It was a challenge navigating the breakfast food and coffee area. A good problem to have but perhaps reworking the layout during busy occupancy could help staff and customers.

The location was perfect - close to train station and walkable to restaurants. Very clean & comfortable room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

No complaints

We stayed at this hotel on a half board basis at the end of May 2026. We were on a walking holiday via Inghams. The breakfasts were as expected although the absence of muesli was surprising. We made do with granola which was fine. The evening meal in the attached restaurant provided 5 of the expected meals. One absence we knew about (Sunday) but the restaurant closure on the Monday took as by surprise. The Pentecost? We had to engineer a refund with the hotel via our rep, Karen, who was very good. The hotel was clean and modern. Our bedroom (202) was facing to the back so very quiet overnight. As no air conditioning we had a fan provided which was OK. The week we spent in Lucerne saw temperatures reaching 32c every day. Must have been close to 25c in our room. Hotel close to all amenities. The railway station a 2 minute walk as was the bus central station. By and large as good week.

The room was clean, but it was quite small. For the price, I expected something more spacious. A big advantage is the location, as well as the nicely designed lobby and reception area. The breakfasts were also very good. The hotel looks beautiful from the outside; however, my room (222) was rather disappointing for that amount of money.

It was quite noisy at night, especially when other guests returned from parties. In my opinion, the staff should remind guests who have been drinking to be more considerate and keep the noise down. I was woken up several times during the night. Another downside was that the window in the room could not be opened.
