"Good...but"

8.0

The hotel is located in south San Francisco not too far from road 101. The room was ok but beds were not so comfortable and it was not possible to operate the aircondition on cool mode. So in a warm day you need to open window, but then there is unbearable noise from cars in the street. On the good side it had inhouse parking.

Room was fine - spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Older decor. Neighborhood was somewhat "marginal." Hotel has secured parking (though of course they warn against leaving valuables in your car).

Was a nice comfortable room had an issue with not being able to open the window the staff got it opened very much appreciated, the room had to much fragrance which needs to be reduced for people who have allergies. Overall the stay was nice and the staff was very nice and friendly.

"Cute, basic hotel/motel. "

8.0

It wasn’t bad. All you really need sometimes is a clean bed and a shower with good water pressure. No a/c and no toiletries but that’s just all extra stuff that no one really needs. The interior court yard was quite cute and it was fine for the one night I was in town.

"BE AWARE OF THE "FREE" PARKING"

4.0

This accomodation really takes the soaring hotel/motel prices in San Fransisco for a ride. It has amazing potential, yet is not well looked after and has very unhelpful staff. Key point for this place is that Parking is NOT assured. It is a first come, first served basis and there is not enough for all rooms. If you arrive late at night or during check in time you will not get a park. Do not expect staff to be helpful in recommended places either. There is street parking, but it is the luck of the draw. The rooms smell, as if they aren’t aired out often, and smelt like cigarette smoke despite asking for a non-smoking room. Surprisingly the best parts were the fast wifi and new TV! We wouldn’t stay again based off the age.

"Better than expected"

8.0

Great value for price. It's not a luxury hotel. The towels are thin, the furniture is old, there's a lot of paint, putty, and caulking to extend the life of the property. But at the end of the day, it's clean, safe, and a decent night sleep. I'd stay again.

"Terrible Experience, Disgusting Rooms"

2.0

This hotel was a complete and utter disappointment. It’s dirty, broken down, and was most certainly the worst part of our trip to SF. We booked online through a website that didn’t allow you to see the name of the property before confirming. Based on this experience, we will never do that again! Initially booked a room with a king size bed. About one day after booking our party size changed, so we called the hotel to see if they could change our res to two queens. They happily agreed, and confirmed twice via phone over the next few months that our change could be accommodated. When checking in, an extremely rude front desk worker refused to honor the previous agreement, and told us we booked a king and that’s what we get. He even went to far as to accuse us of lying when we informed him we had called to confirm our change. We ended up giving up and taking a filthy rollaway cot, which cost us an extra $105. Check in experience aside, the room itself was practically unliveable. The carpet was filthy and clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, especially under the bed. Furniture was broken, scratched and in terrible repair. The drapes were also filthy, and had bloodstains all over them. The shower had mold/mildew growing in it, and didn’t drain at all. Nothing worse than taking a shower in a dirty shower with water up to your knees. There is also no a/c, which would have been fine had there been a screen on the window. Instead we were treated to the experience of bugs flying in through the window all night while we tried to keep cool. The only pro I can offer to this hotel is that our toilet broke our second day into our stay, and the maintenance staff fixed it same day. When staying in this neighborhood in SF, affordable options are limited, but it’s hard to imagine a worse option than the Oasis. If you find yourself traveling to the city, LOOK ELSEWHERE!
