Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa

*** do not stay here. Incredibly incompetent management. They do not care about their guests. Complete waste of money. Stay somewhere else

None of the modern-day amenities we'd expect at this price point - no in-room coffee maker, no 24hr access to snacks or drinks to purchase, no assurance that we'd actually GET TO eat anything, since the few options were full. Even the sleigh ride "with hot cocoa in the warming hut" as I was told, had no cocoa or even water. Add on the fact that I booked 4 rooms a full seven months ago, only to have 2 of the rooms with zero view (I'm pretty sure the place wasn't booked solid when I booked these rooms) and I had major buyers remorse for booking our stay here. PLUS the construction going on woke us up at 7ish am! Started with banging on pipes(?) then increased to literal sawing/drilling into what sounded like metal- VERY LOUD and sounded like they were coming through our walls. (I got some fun videos of this delighfulness.) We paid a couple of thousand dollars for THIS?? I mean, I get if there is construction, but there should be some sort of discount or at least try to restrict the loud stuff until after check-out time. I should have booked elsewhere when I realized that the "Ski and Stay" program with the "ski ticket for 2 included in your overnight stay" is a scam. When I booked our rooms, back in May 2025, I was doing so for our family's Christmas gift. The gal I booked with said the ski program wasn't available yet, so to call back to get our reservations amended with those tickets. I called every month for 7 months, plus emailed, and did not find anyone helpful. Fun Fact that I found out the week or 2 before we were finally going: the tickets are in fact NOT included with a night stay; they are just slightly discounted, costing me an extra $920+ dollars (for 8 tickets and 2 rentals for one day). Also, our party of 8 did not need the swimsuits we brought, or workout clothes because the indoor pool area was awful and smelled so strongly of chemicals...and the fitness center is under construction, too. The biggest complaint I have (and this is unusual for me; I typically give happy, good reviews, because I love to cheer people and businesses on) is that you created an unsafe situation for your guests. If you are going to have an outdoor, heated pool (which, in my opinion, is your best selling point) open during below zero temps, at least: 1. HAVE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO GET THERE AND BACK INTO THE BUILDING CLEAR. 2. HAVE TOWELS near those (confusing, hard to find) entrances. You could have had a big problem if a guest couldn't get back in, while soaking wet, with no easy to find towels(by the way, they're over in the indoor pool, so have fun trying to find that)...hypothermia, anyone? Nothing to do for the young adults, other than the Cave for the 21+ - and the bartender was...not pleasant (not just to us but to everyone we heard her interact with, save one regular). This long-awaited Christmas gift was a disappointment from start to finish. I've never had such a case of buyer's remorse. People really should just enjoy this beautiful building by taking a photo from across the road, and can enjoy the best part inside by walking through the lobby(for free) and eating at the restaurants(if you can get a reservation). Unless a high-end Retirement Home vibe (with ongoing construction, so you can't sleep, and overpaying for everything, and being hungry at night) is what you're going for. The only reason it got any stars from me is because the room was clean and the beds are comfy, so...there's that.

The hotel looks from afar like one of the classic old dames and gives you high hopes for your visit. First the good, the staff is incredibly friendly and tries to be helpful. The facilities are reasonable with many things to do. The setting is spectacular. Food was not bad and there are choices. Now the many misses and why we won’t come back. The presidents wing which is touted as the special updated area is a failure. The walls are thin. The suite was poorly designed as was the president wing itself. No charging stations or work desk, stains on some cushions, one sink, and no additional half bath to list a few. There is only one elevator so again long walks. Light bulbs were out in the suite and in the hallways. The walk from the main lobby is far. Usually when reserving a suite, I get a little note or fresh fruit or etc but here nothing. The club room is so so with staff that were just not ‘skilled”. I was told that she would look into something and get back to me but then never heard back. I was given the wrong phone number for something else. The number of phone calls to the valet or restaurant or room service that went unanswered was significant. Basically you had to call the front desk and ‘they would ‘track them down’. I do not mind paying top dollar but I expect a certain level of quality and service. The Omni fails which is a shame because it seems to have the foundation to be a deluxe property although I have no idea concerning their financials, occupancy rates, target market etc. Finally I agree with others about the parking. I chose to valet and accept the charge but for others who park themselves and then get à fee is absurd.

Grand historic hotel that we have frequented for years. Omni fully acquired the property about 10 years ago and, along with some nice upgrades, has been skilled at pushing to see just how much guests are willing to pay for what they use to get for free. The most egregious example is the recently implemented $20 per night self-parking fee added to the bill. This is to park in a bare-bones lot down a hill next to the main hotel. Remember, the hotel is in the White Mountains with tons of space - it's not like parking at a city hotel where space is at a premium. Lots of fond memories of this place, but too often we are reminiscing about how it use to be.

This beautiful grand hotel is turning in to just another corporate hotel unfortunately. It's a beautiful place to stay to be sure, nice to ski from but everything is overpriced within, with mediocre food and not well thought out rooms even in their Presidential Wing. Lots of conferences and event going on so ask before you book so you don't end up there with hundreds of people crowding the place on a schedule. The staff are fantastic, the ownership not so much.

My wife and I look forward to our annual ski trips to the Omni Mount Washington. We continue to go back because of the staff. Love the skiing and grooming at Bretton Woods but the people are why we only stay at the Omni. From your initial encounter with the bellhops it is always amazing how much they cater to their guest. We always feel welcome and appreciated by all. If you've never stayed at the Omni Mount Washington treat yourself and book a stay and be prepared to be pampered!! Ron and Jen Doire

Really great stay. This is my fifth or sixth time staying here. First time we stayed in the newer Presidential Wing which was lovely. We just wanted to get away for the weekend. It was very cold out -14 degrees at one point and the hotel was warm and toasty and everyone was in a great mood. Thank you to the staff for a great time. The food was way better than I was expecting. Bartenders were great. We shall be back.

Went away to celebrate my daughter's engagement and had a wonderful time. There were 10 of us and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. We had a great time.

This is the worst resort and would not recommend to anyone. The resort has mold and has a very strong foul smell. Despite paying premium price of $700/night, our room was well below average and had a strong smell of mold and dampness. We switched rooms and that was bad to worse, the room had such strong gas odor that it was unbearable.. we also experienced an employee barging in the room without any notice and no compensation was made in any way. Staff was not friendly and warm. They were not willing to help address the room issue.
