The location is incredible, the pool and the 1960s wooden arcade and bowling alley are special but the rest of the property needs help.

The rooms were musty, my room was poorly cleaned, there was hair in the drain of my tub and the water wouldn’t drain, the surfaces were sticky. I paid close to $500 last minute because another property overbooked and this hotel was not anywhere near worth that money, I reached out to management at check out and via message and have not had a response. Overall so much potential but such disappointing management.

This has the potential of being an incredible resort. The view from the room was wonderful, beds were comfortable, great pool that was heated overlooking the harbor. The front desk staff was eager to please but not up to speed on transactions that were not straightforward. We wanted to add two nights to our stay at the AAA rate, the man told us to just book it from our phone as he was not sure how to do that. We had huge holes in the screen to the balcony. We phoned down and asked if they could tape the screen. Within minutes, someone came and taped it up. The bar/patio restaurant was great view, wonderful cooks and wait staff. All three of our meals there were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was $22/person and was a great disappointment after top notch experience at dinner. The offering was what you would get at cheap hotel for free. You have great chefs on site, pull them in for a simple breakfast menu or even coffee and egg McMuffins up at the ice cream shack. The staff was very enthusiastic to start the season. We will likely return for another stay.

Have been going to Sebasco for 30 years and always loved their old Maine charm however under new management seems to be language barrier, less attention to details…for instance, fitness used to provide towels and water…no more. Waterfront used to have a resort boat for sunset tours etc, , no more. Salt water pool size reduced, more upscale dining on second floor of pub not in use, landscaping full of weeds…

Getting pricey , change up in management

I was looking forward to our short stay at this resort. First moments on property, we were assigned the wrong building. Luckily, we’re able to switch to the room we had chosen/paid for because one room was still available. My confirmation letter was needed to prove what I had reserved. No apology for the mix up that took a bit of time to sort. Management never came out to help the boys at the front desk who seemed quite overwhelmed at the 4pm check in time. The room was very clean but came with multiple large stains on the floor that caught the eye as soon as we walked in. It did not have a single dish, utensil, etc. in the kitchenette cabinets. I went to the front desk the next day to inquire and was told that rooms are supposed to have the supplies but sometimes they don’t. A woman checking in next to me had a room that she said was for up to 5 people. Yet, she had a king bed and a couch (not a pull out). I left her as she was trying to get a cot. Another comment I heard while on the property was that not all buildings have air conditioning. I am glad I had selected one that did as I like a cool room temp for sleeping. The bed was comfortable and despite the few minor issues, I enjoyed the space for the time we were there. Sebasco has an old school charm. It’s comfortable and a place where young families could manage easily. I am sure small children would love the pool, ice cream onsite and the casual restaurant. The views are great which makes this a lovely location with great potential. However, as a couple, we wanted to eat off property and wanted a decent cup of coffee, so we went to Bath (20 minutes away). I think if in the area again, I would prefer to stay elsewhere for more things to do nearby.

We stayed just one night. We arrived by boat and rented a mooring for the night. Launch service was great. Our cottage was next to another cottage that was undergoing roofing. When we first arrived the noise from that other cottage was quite loud so we spent most of the time away from our cottage. When we returned to our cottage at the end of the evening at 9:30 PM, the roofing was still going on and the hammering noise was very loud. We spoke to the person at the desk and they were able to have the work crew stop for the night, but they stated they would be back again to work at 6:30 the next morning. When we requested to speak with the manager the next morning, we were informed that he was in a meeting and would call us back. It has been 3 days from our initial complaint and we have not had any response from management.

Recently stayed here for a few days and it was wonderful. Tons of activities and the property is beautiful. Nick at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!

We stayed four nights last week and had a fantastic time! We were there to celebrate the beginning of summer and our middle daughter's 8th birthday. Since it was the beginning of the season and all the summer staff had not yet arrived, some of the activities we had been looking forward to weren't available but the staff more than made up for it with a special cake and other extra's to make her birthday one to remember. Now all the girls want to spend their birthday there! The beds were very comfortable and the pool was warm enough for the kids to have fun even though the outside temps were a little cool. We will definitely be going back!
