Colfax Inn

It was ok for us to just sleep the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was pretty dirty the shower curtain and the stainless stuff was covered in soap scum we didn't even shower the room was big and it did have a nice tv and bed the ac worked good. The staff was extremely nice but the parking lot and driveway needs alot of work the reason for the not so great review was the dirty shower a spots of blood on the bathroom wall by the toilet paper holder and the biggest issue was there was no coffee maker and they didnt have any coffee in the lobby every amenities they had were out of order or "under construction". We have stayed at worse but they need to do alot of work for sure and clean a little better the bathrooms anyway. But the staff was amazing.

Clean quiet and inexpensive

The Room Smelled like mold and mildew. The Carpet in the room was damp, The shower was falling apart and sprayed as much as the wall as it did the tub. There was unknown yuck spots on the walls and ceiling. The Desk Person was very polite but very hard to understand as he did not speak English very well, but did make a great effort.

At check in clerk asked for cash only. We said we were card users. He informed us that his card reader was broke and insisted on cash. We insisted on using a card. Funny how all of a sudden the card machine started working. Hmmmm. Other guests had the same problem.room was filthy, full length mirror had body and hand smudges. Refrigerator looked like it was pulled out of the dumpster. Had a hole in the bathroom door from someones fist. TV was twisted and tilted in the bracket. Had no drinking glasses, no coffee, no kleenex even thoe there was a holder for them. Faucets had not been cleaned for quite sometime. Ice machine did not work. No items in vending machine. Pool was out of service. Elevator did not work. No breakfast was served. Key did not work to room so everytime we came back manager gave us a master key, then we had to walk upstairs to the far end of the hotel, unlock the door ourselves then return the key back downstairs to him. What a joke!! We were there for the races and no other hotels were available or we would have left. They gave our room to someone else the 1st night, surprise. Then two nights we came back late and our door was open. Nothing was missing, WOW. Never had maid service. I could keep going but i believe you all get the point. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

This is a very sketchy hotel and in poor condition. We felt unsafe and checked out after the first night. We were not refunded our money as we were told and will have to dispute the $900 plus charge. This place is terrible.

Absolutely terrible. Desk area only place air conditioned, front desk person you could not understand at all, there is no direct phone line to this hotel when you do call it's an offline number in Pennsylvania, we literally walked in room and walked out due to how nasty it was from stained blankets furniture smoke filled and cockroach on floor. I lost $84 out of $252 the pictures are way out dated as well

We were retouted to another hotel by colfax, we were guaranteed that the accommodations would be the same as we paid for. Big mistake, they sent us an hour further away, no swimming pool, no king bed, no breakfast ammenities. And it was cheaper then what we prepaid for and didint recrive a regund for the difference from colfax.

This place is a total sh*thole. We booked thru Agoda and the rude man at the counter said we didn't have a reservation when we even had a confirmation number! He didn't speak English very well and spoke so loudly and fast, it was very difficult to understand him; told him to slow down, he didn't. He put his hands up as if to SHOO us away and ended up going around the corner and hid from us. That is NOT customer service at all. There were 4 other people there with the same issues as us. We gave up and just drove 2 1/2 hours home after being at the race track all day. There was an inch of dust on the coffee and end tables in the lobby and not even a trash can or soap dispenser in the public restroom. They new there were races in Newton this weekend and didn't bother to even cut the grass or weeds. The place was just disgusting. NEVER AGAIN and I wish I could give them ZERO STARS cuz that is what they deserve.

Horrible experience with this place The man behind the desk was mean rude and scary. It was an awful experience and we feared for our safety and health.
