Ramada by Wyndham Albert Lea

Room had an unpleasant smell. Towels were worn thin and stained. Was supposed to receive free breakfast but doors were locked and no one was available at the front desk to explain why the breakfast area was not open. Pool was also out of service. Do not recommend!

Excellent value for money!Great place to stay. Spacious way comfortable clean. Anytime we're in Albert Lee will stay there!

Good value. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The property is older and showing some wear but worked fine for a one night stopover. Kids enjoyed the pool. Not a lot of great food choices nearby.

We liked the staff. kids loved the 9ft deep pool. only real negitive was the room had a funny smell but we got used to it.

Property is dated. Furniture's full of dust. Breakfast was not provided at 8 am and was told everything is run out. Not even coffee or a slice of bread. Very poor staff communication. I will not recommend to another person

Dirty, in bad condition, little to no food, mostly not good quality food either, for breakfast. Never again.

1. At first when arrived they didn’t

Sticky floor and stains on sheets and towels. Broken chain lock on the room. The door lock itself stopped working, and we reported it when we left for the day at 10 am and wasn't fixed when we got back to the room in the evening. They fixed it within 10 minutes so should have been fixed while we were gone. Elevator stopped working the morning we left so had to carry luggage down 3 floors. Pool was extremely cold. No sheets in room for pull out couch so have to make sure to get those at front desk if needed.

In a different day and age, thirty or forty years ago, this was likely a premier property. It is not currently. When we checked in we only had a few minutes to drop our things (our issue, not theirs), but when we returned at 11 p.m., we wished we had asked more about things. My reservation was "pool view"; yes, we were near the pool, but no view. The breakfast the next morning was very limited and there were several signs, "Sorry, we are out of _____" Virtually no protein options and the peanut butter available to put on waffles was obviously spooned from a larger source to put into small plastic cups with lids. One major problem was their requirement to make copy of my driver's license at check-in. It wasn't a verification of who I was, they made a copy. In this age of identity theft, that policy is entirely inappropriate. I asked for the copy back as I checked out, but I have no certainty what was done in the 15 hours in between. If copying is a Ramada/Wyndham policy, it needs to be immediately changed. Help was also limited.
