Castello di Leonina Relais

We read a lot of reviews and finally decided on stay at Castello di Leonina based on what we read and were not disappointed - the property is stunning. Dinners on the veranda were the highlights during our stay; the food was excellent. Breakfasts were full of fresh pastries, fruits, yogurts, meats and eggs. Rooms are beautifully appointed and clean. The staff is attentive and courteous. Look forward to returning!

The incredibly helpful staff helped hugely with a rental car issues we had. The open air restaurant was idyllic, overlooking the valley and the food was superb.

The hotel is located in a very lovely secluded setting with a classic Tuscany landscape.. The restaurant has a creative chef and there were both traditional Tuscany offerings and delicious creative dishes. The staff is very helpful with a good sense of humor. The swimming pool was very inviting.

The grounds are beautiful and the front desk personnel are friendly . We had a nice meal in the restaurant. The room was nice, but we could not adjust the temperature and it was too hot to sleep. Breakfast was delicious but we got a poor nights rest

Peaceful and relaxing, the hotel is situated in an old castle not far from Siena. It's well away from any main roads and the hilltop location gives you great views across the surrounding countryside. Also look out for the wonderful outdoor dining in the evenings.

An absolutely beautuful setting 1km off the main road, high up on a hill with the most amazing views of Tuscany. Perfect as part of our honeymoon trip. The staff were excellent. Outside dining in the evening with the view was spectacular. Having a car is essential for getting around the area as its very secluded. We got upgraded to a beautiful suite with period decor. The only down point was the air conditioning unit - it wasn't very strong. Also if you like your swimming there was no pool, just a dipping pond.

An absolutely incredible stay. This is a stunning 12th century castle on top of a Tuscan hill, completely restored to be as pristine as it was back then, but with commodities for the modern human. Wifi, great food, and hospitality were wonderful during my stay! I went there for 2 night sin mid-May to work as a photographer for a gorgeous wedding. It was a IMPECCABLE and I can't wait to go back for a pleasure trip soon! Great staff, a nice pond like pool, 20 minutes form Siena, with incredible sunsets... LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

Beautiful area. We were there for a wedding. The wedding went very well. Well organized and well served. Our room was the tower suite. The suite needs more decoration otherwise the downstairs is not welcoming at all. We didn't spend even a minute downstairs so it was a waste and the upstairs doesn't have much space so the suite really was not a good choice. Be aware that the wifi almost doesn't exist at the uphill.

This hotel was lovely. Beautiful hotel and grounds in the gorgeous, pristine Tuscan countryside. We had a junior suite, which was a good size with a very interesting lay-out. The room was immaculately clean. The restaurant was quite good. And, the staff was exceptionally helpful, especially the reception staff who went out of their way to book dinners and even called the car rental company to help us with our rental return (a special thank you to Valentina!). The drawbacks were the A/C did not really work, which was ok with the windows open (but lots of bugs), there was only one outlet available (in the bathroom), and it is indeed remote (which means that if you want dinner, you'll need to eat at the hotel or venture out on the winding roads at night for at least a 30 minute drive). But, these drawbacks are really minimal. We'd happily stay at Castello di Leonina Relais again!

One of the best hotels in which we stayed on our two week long Tuscany honeymoon with my husband! Amazing place, beautiful surroundings, rooms and dining area! Perfect place for honeymooners!
