Sunscape Coco Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Poor service

Room was a good size, clean and tidy, not sure about the open bathroom in the rooms (very conscious every time I used the facilities). Staff were great, entertainment team were 'on it' all of the time, always a smile no matter what time of day and you were not pushed into taking part if you didn't want to. Lots of dining options but the booking system for the non-buffet options were limiting, the buffet options could lead to long waits but it is a very large property with lots of rooms/guests that have to be looked after.

I like everything, the only thing I didn’t like was the cleaning of the rooms, stains on the bathrooms and hair from the people before us, it was like that when we arrived.

It took us about 45mins to check in because there was only 2 staff working. Our room AC was working super slow and the lights stopped working on top of the WORST smell of mold I have ever witnessed. The food wasn’t my favorite either. We called maintenance which they were quick and even the guy was surprised by the strong smell of mold. We asked to switch rooms that took another 45mins to an hour to do. The new room still had the smell of mold but it wasn’t as strong as our first room. People we met at the lobby were also annoyed by how slow people there were. Also that I didn’t like was to be at an all inclusive and then being so crazy at the times everything opened. I wanted a drink several times and the bars were closed between 5-6:30. The only bar that was working was the swim up bar in the pool. Super inconvenient and stressed me out. Overall a horrible experience.

Food options are extremely limited, very complicated system for reservations on restaurants. Limited alcohol selection. A/C on the room was FATAL. Understaffed. Property is old and tired to be honest.

The restaurant service was horrible, the food was awful, the hotel service was delayed, they wouldn’t replace the towels or make the beds in a timely manner. The lines at the buffets were also long and the food options were extremely limited and often cold. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with that hotel and will never return again.
