Clean room and nice staff.

The air in our room did not work

The Pros of this hotel are the super helpful and friendly staff, the 24-hour fresh bean-grinding coffee machines, the sheets, pillows, mattresses are outstanding, and the location is excellent where there are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. For these reasons I would recommend staying here but before unpacking check your room first. The hotel is an older building and it does need some maintenance. I thought the décor was good so no complaints there. The 2-star rating is about the actual room I stayed in. I already unpacked all my stuff and didn’t feel like repacking and moving to another room, plus I think they had a full house that evening so I didn’t bother asking. Bathroom: --No drain cover in the sink and it was creepy. Don’t drop anything in this sink. There is a black hole you get to stare at while brushing your teeth. Photos included. --24/7 Toilet “ran” every 75-85 seconds and then would stop. Yes I timed it. I had to close the bathroom door so I wouldn’t have to listen to it. I also brought a white noise machine fortunately but without the bathroom door closed it didn’t cover up the toilet noise. --No bathroom exhaust fan --Very slow/clogged bathtub drain and greasy tub floor --Broken body lotion container so couldn’t use --Bathtub had a bunch of chips in the porcelain --Pink and brown gunk on the toilet lid latches HVAC: --Made funny scratchy-like noises for AC and heat, sometimes sounded like two sheets being scraped together, very strange sound – was disturbing my sleep so had to shut it off at night. The white noise machine I brought with me could not cover up the disturbing noise. Miscellaneous: --Dirty lamp stands and old scratched up furniture --Phone kept flashing red lights after wake up call and it just wouldn’t stop so I unplugged it because the red flashing nights got on my nerves --No paper or pens in the room to write with --Room faced Walmart in the back of the building and had to listen to the loud car stereos at least seven times throughout the evening, and I was on the 5th floor! Ask for a room that faces the front of the hotel. --The door to the exit stairs on the 5th floor does not have an overhead door closer on it as of this writing so if you don’t’ manually close the door, it will slam so loud it will sound like a gun shot blast. For the amount of money I paid I would expect Holiday Inn Express quality without nuiances but this room offered plenty of nuiances.

Breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Holiday Inn Express. Good variety and fresh - ground coffee!

The bed was comfortable, but squeaky.

Great located was very good.

Carpet in the pet rooms.

Staff were very helpful and polite!
