Sandman Hotel Castlegar

The location of the hotel was great, the staff was very good in dealing with some guests who seemed to have very few patients.

Freundliches personal. Frühstück ausreichend. Gute zimmerausstattung. Moderne von innen.

Run down. Not very well maintained.

Room was very clean. Bathroom was modern and nicely done. Front counter staff were very professional and made sure all my needs were met.

Could have had more of a selection for breakfast. Breakfast was on the weak side. Not a great selection of food. Management had the breakfast area on lock down. You could only gain access to the breakfast room by going to the front desk and asking to be let in.

Only stayed one night while passing though. Service was excellent. Room was dated but clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We travelled with a 60lb dog who was welcomed and we were given a welcome bag for him too. 2nd time stopping here and will continue stopping here when driving through.

The pillows were hard and some of the guests were extremely noisy.

We slept very well. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The location was right downtown. We could walk to restaurants, groceries, gas etc.

The lobby, elevator etc. were quite drab and could absolutely use some TLC. The room door lock system was not reliable. Sometimes our key cards worked, other times they did not.
