"great service, excellent food, quality"

10.0

We were on the island of Aruba for only a day. A stop over on a cruise. We took a cab to Manchebo Beach Resort for lunch. Del was a great server and our lunch was outstanding. Both a 10 out of 10.

"Great experience"

Last day in Aruba. Had a spectacular lunch at Manchebo. Not only was the food outstanding but service was just as good. Shout out to Del, our server who could not have been nicer or more professional.

"Special!"

Lunch was great but Del made it special! Del waited on us and provided a great experience. She got us information on live music events at Manchebo and we plan to come back and enjoy!

"First Stay at Manchebo"

8.0

I had a 12/10 experience staying at Manchebo. I would absolutely come back next year. Our massages at Spa du Sol were excellent. I love the gardens and the tropical feel of the hotel and beach area. All staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the non-hotel guests who set up their beach gear by the palapas, but I know that’s a new issue and it’s out of the resort’s control at the moment. Overall, we had an amazing time — it’s a beautiful resort!

"Very Nice But Not Exceptional"

8.0

This is an upscale, boutique, low-rise, quiet resort. It is on a stretch of very wide, lovely, clean beach. Second-floor rooms get a small balcony and first-floor rooms get a ground-level patio. There is a very nice pool. They have yoga every day in a pavilion on the beach. There's light entertainment in the evenings, nothing special, mostly one live instrument played to recorded backing. The food is OK, acceptable, but not great. There is no breakfast buffet (probably because the many birds would attack it). There is a notable lack of fresh fruit, and no tropical fruit at all (probably because none is grown in Aruba; all food is imported). They do have smoothies. The dinners at the various restaurants again are OK, but nothing special. I would not recommend full board. Service at the hotel is universally warm and friendly. The grounds are immaculately kept. I had a massage at the spa, which was great. There is a constant security presence.

"Best relaxing resort on the island if you are looking g for cozy, personal and feels like home"

10.0

This is our second visit in 2 years and we LOVE it. From looking out our room and only seeing sand, water, palm trees to fabulous food and service. It's exactly what we were hoping for. It's a small resort, all rooms have a palapa on the beach. I want to give a special shout out to Liz, a wonderful bartender and now friend and Maritza, our friendly, wonderful room attendant. The entire staff is extremely helpful and very nice! Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa has the deepest beach area between the resort and the water, never over crowded.

"Incredible Beach, But the Experience No Longer Matches the Price"

2.0

I have stayed at Manchebo Beach Resort for the past four years, primarily because of its location on Eagle Beach, which remains one of the most beautiful beaches in Aruba. Unfortunately, this visit will be my last stay at the resort. At nearly $900 per night, the property feels outdated for the price point. While the front desk staff continues to be friendly and welcoming, the overall level of service from other staff members has noticeably declined compared to previous years. There appears to be little incentive for repeat guests to return beyond the modest loyalty discount, and the value no longer aligns with the cost. My biggest disappointment relates to the beach experience. I fully understand and respect that all beaches in Aruba are public. However, during my stay at Manchebo, there were consistently more non-guests occupying the palapas than resort guests. Security presence seemed ineffective, and it was unclear what role, if any, beach security was actively playing. As someone who enjoys early mornings, I regularly went to the beach to secure a spot. During this time, I had repeated interactions with a beach supervisor named William, who was consistently rude and unprofessional throughout the week. His tone and attitude were dismissive, and he frequently placed towels on front-row palapas as early as 5:30 a.m., marking them as “reserved.” Despite being a paying guest staying at the resort for a full week, I was unable to access a desirable spot on multiple occasions. While I understand that staff may be under pressure, professionalism and respectful communication should be a basic expectation at a resort of this caliber. Guests should not feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, regardless of who else is using the public beach. For a relatively small resort with access to such a large beach, the area felt unusually crowded and poorly managed. Given the price being charged, there are many other accommodations nearby that offer better value while still allowing guests to enjoy Eagle Beach in a respectful and enjoyable way. Manchebo would benefit from returning to the basics: consistent service standards, effective security presence, and staff training focused on guest interaction and professionalism. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet the expectations set by my previous experiences.
