Sandals Grande St. Lucian - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only

We’ve been visiting Sandals Grande St. Lucian for 15+ years and have watched the experience decline, but this year was the worst. The resort is severely understaffed. Expect to wait an hour or more for meals. Restaurants are often closed or close early, and basics that used to be included now feel like special requests. The staff are doing their best, but they are clearly exhausted, stressed, and overwhelmed. Many openly expressed how overworked they are. It is uncomfortable as a guest — instead of relaxing, you end up feeling guilty asking for anything. The “luxury included” experience is simply not here anymore. Management is nowhere to be seen. There is no visible leadership addressing the shortage, guest concerns, or staff conditions. It feels like the property is running on autopilot. The location and scenery are still beautiful, but the service no longer matches the high price point. Sadly, we cannot recommend the resort in its current state.

This was our third time to Sandals Grand St Lucian, so we must love it! It's been over a decade since our last visit and much has changed. The trip from the airport to the resort takes much longer now because of road congestion. We skipped the dinner we'd planned at La Toc because we didn't want to face those roads for another 2 hours (about one hour each way.) The restaurants were understaffed; plan on an hour wait for food if you order off the menu. We took Splenda, for tea, with us and it turned out to be a great idea; there were no diet drinks to be found. Hair dryers are provided, but there's no plug for the hair dryer in the recently remodeled bathroom, so you're tethered to the wall or floor by the tightly curled cord as you dry your hair. The food was awesome. Bayside has a daily buffet where you can easily put together a great breakfast or lunch from a myriad of choices. We had fantastic blackened salmon at Mariner Seafood. Kimonos was our favorite dinner spot with the most amazing chocolate cake for dessert! Don't worry about over-eating. The food portions on the menu items are smaller than we're used to. Checkout was a little tedious standing in line to check out in person even if your charges were already covered. The grounds are stunning! Be sure and take lots of pictures! Our favorite daily treat was the chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream at Josephines. Our favorite excursion was the Drive and Fly excursion--driving our ATV's to the 12-section zip line. You need to be brave enough to drive in a foreign environment and walk a lot of stairs, but it's well worth it. I must applaud the staff at Sandals. Everyone working at Sandals was friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming! They were all working hard to keep the guests comfortable and cared for. The gardeners bid you good morning. The maids ask if you need anything special. Anyone you meet walking the grounds will greet you with a smile and make sure you're having a wonderful experience.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to have been diverted to Sandals Grande St Lucian from Sandals Negril Jamaica due to Hurricane Melissa. This turned out to be a blessing because the staff, ambience, and accommodations exceeded our expectations. We were the first to stay in the newly renovated swim up rooms in the Rodney building. Which also exceeded our expectations after watching some reviews on YouTube. Time to update your review if you are someone who posted one before the last week of October 2025. The location was the most optimal for beach access and user friendliness out of the 3 resorts. Important notes, Grande Saint Lucian has elevators (we were told by guests visiting from the other Sandals resorts on the island that they didn’t). Also, most of the pools had a gradual entrance instead of steep stairs which made the resort a clear choice to return next October with my Mom and her significant other. Both have mobility limitations and this option offers enjoyment for them as well. We were fortunate enough to have Jasmine as our room attendant! She kept the room and hallways impeccably clean throughout our stay. The Food and Beverage Manager commonly referred to as “Ish” is the epitome of customer service, professionalism, and dedication to his team! We commonly asked him if he slept because we saw him everywhere ensuring guests received top notch customer service. The main outside bartender Matthew President was beyond impressive when it came to his drink knowledge and ability to serve multiple customers quickly! He kept the lines down and people hydrated with adult beverages…bravo good sir! Yani was our chef at Kimono’s! He was one of the most memorable I have witnessed cook Hibachi style! Last, Lauri Benoit was our server for the couples dinner. She made the experience so enjoyable and is such a pleasant person! We had the fortune of attending a couple of other meals where she was our server…top notch! The management team and team members all go the extra mile to enhance the value of staying at their resort! We had a members dinner and sat with the Landscaping Manager. She took any and all concerns seriously and started getting results immediately. Specifically, our room phone didn’t work and we had a technician come out earlier in the day. It worked for a little while then stopped working again. The phone was completely fixed by the time we got back from the dinner. Last, the entertainers were extremely talented and they put their all into the shows. Sandals Grande St Lucian is a must experience resort! See you next Oct St Lucian fam!!!

This was our 2nd time going to Sandals Grande St. Lucia. The 1st time in 2019 was fabulous. This time it was a disappointment. Majority of the staff seemed to be irritated and understaff. We went to Toscaninis and took over 2 1/2 hours for our meal. They were very under staff. We constantly had to ask for washcloths or even getting the refrigerator in the room filled. The staff was not on the same page on times and nobody seems to know what is going on. Don’t get me wrong. The view is beautiful and there was only 3 staff members that help make our stay worth wild. We always enjoy going to Sandals but we are going to check out our other options next year. We loved Gordon’s but nobody tells you that you have to preorder lobster in advanced because it is not on the menu. When you select a partial ocean view don’t be surprise if you get a view of the parking lot with a touch of the ocean across the street.

Just spent 11 days here for my honeymoon and have nothing but good things to say!!… highly recommend taking the helicopter to the resort it was totally worth it. The resort, staff and food were all amazing! Stayed in a rondoval and had Mel, Malaika and Kersherma they made our experience incredible!! Also shout to Gania/Sharma at Gordon’s and the manager Philip they were all amazing and made our time here so special that we will never forget any of them! Definitely will be taking a trip back soon!

Our trip for our 50th wedding anniversary was absolutely perfect! From Wendy who helped us plan 3 amazing excursions, to Ishtiaq who helped us several days decide on the perfect food on the menu, to Michelle who helped us get checked out when headed home and many more that I didn't get their names. The bartender was great at fixing us non-alcoholic drinks. The hostess at the Barefoot on the sand where we ate several times was so attentive. We enjoyed the "cowboy" who sang Wednesday night as the entertainment. Our rooms were always clean and fresh. Honestly we couldn't think of anything we would have changed!

This is our fifth Sandals and we usually have an excellent experience. For the Grande, I called a month ahead to ensure we were put in any building other than the Monchy building because we wanted to be close to all of the amenities. I was very surprised that they escorted us to the Monchy building upon arrival and tried to give us a room that faced a parking lot after paying for ocean view. The toilet and shower didn't work which made for a miserable first night, and they told us they couldn't change our room until midday the next day. I inquired with the front desk about being comped for our first day there since we arrived at 5pm and didn't have a working toilet or shower, and they told us to call Sandals when we got home and they could assist. Not very good customer service, and this is coming from someone who NEVER complains about accommodations. Should get a free day back from having a room that we couldn't use the bathroom the whole first night. The rest of the trip was decent, the bars are vastly understaffed but the food was good and our new room was much better. I just find it ridiculous that I called a month in advance to ask to be in a specific building, was told no problem, and then we were put in the one I specifically asked not to be in.

Paradise, People, Perfect My wife and I just returned from our first-ever Sandals trip to St. Lucia, and it was the perfect way to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a truly refreshing and needed time to relax and reset. The amazing weather, beautiful resort, and overall ambiance were wonderful, but what truly made this trip exceptional was the outstanding team at the resort—they absolutely knocked it out of the park. A key feature that made this the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever taken was the truly all-inclusive nature of the resort. Knowing that everything was included—from the flight, the food, drinks, room service, and even the tips—meant we didn't have to think about a single thing. We could simply relax and enjoy the breathtaking and beautiful view from our room. We also had the unexpected pleasure of being there during the Creole Festival. This was an incredible cultural treat, complete with authentic dancing, a vibrant steel drum performance, and unique, flavorful, and delicious local food. It was a wonderful bonus to an already perfect trip! We want to spotlight a few specific individuals who elevated our stay from great to unforgettable: • Exceptional Bartenders: Remy and Matthew at the bar were rock stars! They not only knew any drink we asked for but were also quick, funny, and always acknowledged us immediately. Their courteous service and humor made every stop at the bar a highlight. • The Best Emcee: Neville was incredible. He made a genuine effort to check in with us every single day, remembered my name, and always asked if we needed anything. That personal attention made us feel truly valued. • Attentive Servers: We were so impressed with our servers CJ and Kimesha. They were outstandingly attentive; my drink was never empty, and they were always available and ready to assist. Their dedication to great service was clearly evident. • Club Sandals Dream Team: A huge shout-out to Lew and Miguel from the Club Sandals team. They ensured all our event and dinner reservations were confirmed and locked in. They handled any questions or curiosities we had immediately and efficiently, allowing us to fully enjoy our downtime. From the first moment to the last, the entire team treated us like VIPs. We were so impressed with the level of service and personal care that we are already planning our return. If you're looking for an amazing, worry-free vacation with an all-star staff and unforgettable local culture, this is the place to be!

This was our second time to the St. Lucia Grande. We enjoyed it very much. The location of the main pool to the beach is excellent. The entertainment is 5-star. There was lots of food but the food quality was average. The resort is undergoing renovations so the occupancy was very low. This was wonderful. We didn't have to fight for a chair at the pool or beach. No lines at the bars or for any dining. We did visit the other two resorts and the Grande is by far the shining star! I would like to see the No Smoking policy enforced across the Sandals brand. This was our 3rd stay this year and each time guests were smoking/vaping in the pool and at the bars. Many guests walk the property openly smoking. I do see smoking areas at all the resorts but no enforcement for guests to use these areas. I understand they want to smoke but it shouldn't be tolerated in the pools, at the bars or in common areas. I also would like Sandals to offer a variety of beer choices in bottles or cans. I do not care for draft beer and that is all that was available at this resort. Typically, the pub offers Stella in a bottle but not at the Grande. Our room was a club room. Nothing special. The bed was comfortable, the a/c was cold and housekeeping was good. The bathtub filled up with water whenever we showered. It was obvious this was a known issue but nothing was done to fix the problem. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was another good experience at Sandals. I'm not sure we will come back. The distance from the airport is something we did not care for. It is the reason it took us 20 years to return to the Grande from our initial visit. We did rent the large beach cabana and Daisy and Darnell were excellent butlers for the day. Daisy would make an excellent room butler. She went above and beyond to meet our needs and ensure my sisters birthday was special! Genil from the pool bar and Remy at the beach bar are shining stars! St. Lucia is a beautiful island.
