StayInn - Grand Forks

The property was ok, a bit run down but everything we needed worked ok, carpeting was in ruff shape. Staff was friendly. Outside seemed a bit ragged but as I said, it was ok.

It was horrible, smelly, unclean, not safe, and too many pets in the hotel. Smelled like smoke and urine. Staff were loud and yelling at each other in the lobby. Someone pulled the fire alarm and made everyone wait outside. The door to the room didnt lock, the lights didnt work, the beds and room were dirty and the smell was so bad it made my eyes water. Someone in the lobby asked for soap and the staff said they didnt have any. I made it to my room and within 10 minutes made it back to the lobby because it was so bad i could not stay there. They claimed they could not issue a refund because i didnt give a 24 hour notice. I spent 140$ on a room that was not even worth $5. Dont stay here unless you want to choke from smoke inhalation.

I did not end up staying at this property and decided to accept that they would charge me for the room anyway. When I arrived after a 4.5 hour drive, I noticed that the facility appeared to be a little rundown, but I was going to accept it for the night. However, after entering the parking lot, I noticed a couch sitting in the parking lot and one room window boarded up. Me and my child went into the waiting area which smelled bad, to check-in, and while waiting, my child went to the restroom. He came out of the restroom saying it was nasty in there and had urine everywhere. We decided we did not want to see any more of the property and went somewhere else for the night.

It was very comfortable for what I was looking for.

The hotel was great for a one-night stopover. Nothing fancy, but was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

This is an older establishment with amazing staff. Super friendly and great service!

We had to pay for parking at the hotel which was not information we were provided.

There was dried vomit on the carpet beside the desk. No towels or toilet paper in the room. There was a dirty rag draped over the shower curtain. We went to check out immediately. The front desk was on the phone with the manager. The manager said as long as we did not write a bad review they would fully refund us. The manager then refused the refund when Expedia contacted them. Absolutely disgusted with the room and the manager.

Basics were ok for the price. Breakfast was really sparse.

The staff were very friendly and courteous, but the room was not good. The beds were not comfortable. There were lights and outlets that didn’t work. It is also very dated. It’s a strictly not smoking hotel but the hallways stunk of cigarette smoke.
