Bahia del Sol Beach Front Boutique Hotel

Huge potential fell short. Bahia del sol was sold to me as a dive vacation . No diving on site and outsources to frog divers. More costly unless staying at a property like that of margaritaville. The property is fare. Pool is dirty every day. Outdated. Front desk staff nice. Property manager Eduardo, not at all. The margarita vile is in a more central location in the more developed part of town, I’m staying there next time. The food, sub par. Breakfast was good, the service staff are definitely not accommodating if you have morning trips or to special diets. The manager refuses to make things right. Cokes are the reusable Coke bottles, therefore making it more costly for the consumer. The happy hour is trash unless you want lime margaritas. America’s stay away, this is not a resort for you. Costly! The resort does not return emails in a timely manner, therefore made my transportation more costly. I found a cheaper way to travel with ecotrans only 29 dollars and safe. Not the one the hotel chargerf me for 129. In addition the hotel tried to charge me for 2 cokes on the first day I never received. Waste! I am not impressed with this hotel. Buyer beware.

Beautiful grounds and beachfront. Big con is very noisy. Family suite in the 300 range very noisy, cannot sleep in due to sound comjng feom passing truck or motorbikes. At night, the Canatico pizza place has loud music playing past midnight. Family suite with two bedrooms very spacious but kitchen not well stocked. No pots, toaster and oven doesn't work.

Beautiful location! All of the staff were super friendly and we had an amazing time!!

I stayed at this hotel for a wedding almost 20 years ago, so was excited to go back. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. My recommendations would be for the hotel to tidy up the grounds, remove rocks from the sitting area by the pool and try and clean up the beach a little bit right in front of the hotel.

This hotel and our room exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful and the location on Potrero Beach is amazing. We enjoyed the proximity to Playa Flamingo and Play Penca for evening swims and a more lively scene if wanted.

This property is very nice right on the beach, beachfront dining, and a swim up pool bar. There were many families with young children. It has a a good resort for families. But I would caution that the waves are very mild at low tide but very rough at high tide. The beach offers beautiful scenery, and a great place to watch sea birds fishing.

Great little boutique hotel right on the water.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Had a little passion fruit and mint drink (non-alcoholic) to welcome us.

Pro: Great hotel right on the beach - literally the other side of the low hotel wall is the beach. You could not get closer. MANY, MANY great restaurants within 100yds of the hotel and easy walk, even at night. Flamingo and Tamarindo beach are very short drive, but you have a great beach and all amenities at this hotel. Good hotel to end a trip when you are leaving from LIR which is 1 hr drive away. This was our 2nd visit in 10 years and we would come again. Cons: A bit pricey, but not outrageous. Check out is noon and hard to change with this popular hotel. If you leave from LIR when flights leave at 6pm then you have a lot of time to spare, but hotel will hold suitcases after checkout and you can still enjoy the amenities.
