Bahia del Sol Beach Front Boutique Hotel

Good service, friendly staff, great beachfront location, worn out room, restaurant food and selections above average, one swimming pool that can get crowded with kids (especially when the resort allows others to use it and the grounds for a fee when not staying there), beds comfortable but fan light and speed controller remote duplicate to another room and light/fan went on off multiple times at 3 am, water and electricity went out but both were municipality issues. We enjoyed our stay and only complaint is the fan remote. This is an affordable 3 star hotel with helpful staff, beautiful grounds, chill atmosphere but could use a face lift. Our room was dark and small but the bathroom was very large (cannot flush toilet paper), while our travel partners room was spacious and open. Same room category so checkout your room assignment. They did offer us a move but we had already unpacked and you don’t spend a lot of time in your room at a beachfront hotel.

The rooms are outdated and lack cleanliness. It is well situated property, close by everything you need in Playa Potrero

My son woke up to water dripping on his head from the ac unit over his head. When we got up to look we saw that the unit was about to fall off the wall on his head. Green grime and hair and an old straw on bathroom floor. Management offered to remove one meal from our bill for this disgusting death trap.

Loved that the property in on the beach. Lots of restaurants around the property. Onsite restaurants does not have any vegetarian choices. The room did not have enough lighting in the main living areas which was a big disappointment. We stayed in a two bedroom room and it was a little rundown.

Awesome hotel!

Beautiful boutique hotel with lots of dining options within walking distance. We had the two bedroom family suite, which was large and very nice. Unfortunately, we heard the street noise and band/karaoke from the bars while sleeping. This is our only complaint. The staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was amazing and the daily yoga was a nice surprise. The beach is dark due to volcanic sediment, but was quiet and safe. You could walk 1 mile in either direction. Plus there are multiple restaurants on the beach. Loved the atv excursion and sunset cruise! Such a great trip!

I would never stay anywhere else again. Everyone was so nice, welcoming and accommodating. Room was was clean, and nicely set up. The grounds were so pretty. There are several restaurants, a grocery store and even a couple spots to shop. It’s very safe and you’re mingling with the locals. It’s great. Giovanni was our pickup and drop off to the airport. One word describes him. FANTASTICO!

Nice chill place and chill beach great for kids. Great parking and location to explore a bunch of fun beaches. Breakfast was ok, and the pool needs some more frequent attention. Rooms are no thrill or comfort but very spacious.

Nice people. Great restaurant. We were there in a storm and had some problems with our rooms. The toilet was leaking in the first one, and the ceiling fell in in the second one due to the storm. Unfortunately, the weather was so bad, we did not get to enjoy the pool or the spa because staff could not get there. And the beach was very turbulent and muddy. These people did try hard to accommodate us when their ceilings and buildings did not hold up. We were gifted a lovely free dinner for our troubles.

Beautiful beachfront location. Lush tropical landscaping and rooms are spacious and very clean. Wonderful and friendly staff.
