The Cove of Lake Geneva

Staff ill prepared, unreliable, unresponsive and un knowledgeable.

i loved the room and location of the hotel

it was a little complicated getting to the room but we ended up figuring it out

Breakfast was for someone who is on the go! Bagel and a muffin. I was looking more for a place to sit down and get pancakes

Communication was the biggest issue. I requested to get my room early through Booking.com. I asked for a 3:00 pm check in They told me they don’t take third party requests. So we waited from 1:30 to 3:40, checking in on the hour. I went to the front desk and they wanted me to wait another hour because the room was badly needing a cleaning.As I was reminded it was 3:40 pm and check in was at 4:00. I said no, then another room was offered but we couldn’t turn on the AC right away because it was frozen and needed to thew. I said no to that also. I had my three grandchildren with me and they waited very patiently. They finally found us a room.

The location

They had no soap to wash hands. When notified I was told someone would bring some right up. I called back hours later and was told someone would bring some first thing in the morning. Called again and was told someone would bring some. Called hours later and was told they were all out. Stopped the room service and finally got one. Also, issues with the toilet not working properly. Cleaning staff forgot to close door one dad. Pool was cold and dirty.

Good size pool for Lake Geneva

Noisy. Music going on above us and across the hallway all night till two in the morning on a Sunday. Vacuuming at 10:30 at night, kids and adults running down the hallway through the night till morning. Was not able to sleep my first night and left the second night at nine at night instead of staying over. Spoke with management, who did not seem very concerned. Can’t get into the pool without them, searching your bag. Would prefer management me more concerned about the quality of stay for all of their guests than what they have in their bags going to the pool.
