Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark

Tal is AMAZING! One of the best, if not the best, massage I have ever had. I did 90 minutes with cupping. Such a kind soul and an exceptional masseuse!

Opening day Padre's season. Staff members were welcoming, enthusiastic, positive. Staff let me check in early and I enjoyed a corner room overlooking the action of the Gaslamp District. Will never stay in a non corner room again! Loved the little deck and sliders. The little baseball snacks was a nice addition in the lobby. Wifi worked well, room was immaculate. Pool at 5:20 am was nice, but cloudy. Fitness Center was immaculate. Adrian at the valet is a gem! He went out of his way to make me feel welcome. Overall, great experience and I look forward to my next trip.

I stayed here for four nights in mid-February. The property was nice and staff was personable. However, I had an 11th floor corner room facing the "bay". It was HOT! Each day except one was sunny and during the afternoon you could barely put your hand near the windows. My room AC was set to 64F and never felt cool. Front desk would not move me, even to a lesser room. Sent up a box fan and said AC was under maintenance. "Bay view" is also deceiving. You can see the bay, but the main view on lower level rooms is of the highway and railroad tracks. This hotel sits next to a light-rail stop. Trains don't run all day, but that is something to consider. I could hear homeless people screaming from the station. Also had the issue with water temp other described, but only one morning. Definitely NOT on par with Omni standard and prices.

Did a staycation to celebrate my partner’s birthday. I have to say after staying here I want to stay at an Omni anywhere I go. They go above and beyond when it comes to customer service and making sure you have a memorable stay and experience.

The location near by downtown and ocean view of rooms were perfect. Kindly service for hotel members. Looking forward to stay here next time.

Excellent room service by Thelma felix. Good experience overall, but bathroom did not have any ventilation fan and both sink and toilet were gargling like there is some kind of blockage or something, but there was no standing water

Thelma provided fantastic housekeeping on my stay. He attention to detail is impeccable. I intend to request whatever floor she is servicing next time I stay.

The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and professional, and I appreciated their service during my stay. However, the overall experience did not feel aligned with the price point of the property. The room itself had the biggest impact on my rating. Given the cost of the stay, I expected a more modern and well maintained environment. Instead, the decor and overall condition of the room are quite dated and appear largely unchanged for many years. Several in room features also reflect this. For example, the television does not support phone screen sharing or casting, and the bedside clock does not function as a Bluetooth speaker, which are features that are commonly available even in more basic hotels. The bed and pillows were also quite uncomfortable and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. There was also an issue in room 1032 that may be worth having maintenance inspect. I noticed an audible crackling sound when the air conditioning cycled on and off, and I heard a similar sound when using the bathroom light switch. This seemed unusual and could potentially represent a safety concern. I only noticed it shortly before checking out, which made me concerned that it may have been present for some time without being identified. I also dined at the restaurant during my stay. The servers were kind and polite, but on one evening my order was forgotten and the overall quality of the food was fairly mediocre relative to the price. Given the menu pricing, the meal did not feel like good value. Overall, while the staff were pleasant and professional, the accommodations and dining experience did not reflect the premium pricing of the property, which ultimately influenced my scores. Based on this experience, it is unlikely that I would choose to stay at the property again or recommend it to others.

Really enjoyed hotel room at Omni Hotel. Room was spacious as well as practical and bed was comfortable. Lighting in hotel room was a little challenging to figure out. Room was nice and bright but when ready for bed needed an efficient way to turn off lighting. Location can’t get better. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed flexibility of food options in hotel as I needed quick options in between business travel.
