Newport Beach Hotel & Suites

Over all it was nice but cleanliness was so so.

We had to wait an hour after check in time for one of our rooms. The other was available to us almost an hour later. No housekeeping service after the first night for either of our rooms and no fresh towels. Had to go get them myself. We asked for adjoining rooms when we booked and also made two phone calls confirming our request as this was a family trip with two children, 11 and 14. We could not have been separated more as we were on separate floors and one room was at the end of a long hallway. What made it worse is that one room did have an adjoining. There was no where to hang bath towels in one room, just a small hand towel bar. The other bath had a hook to hold two towels. Each room had two queen beds so I wonder where they want us to put wet towels, especially since they didn’t give us clean ones. If we were to stay again with family I would only stay in a two bedroom suite. Being so far from each other was not conducive to nice family time. The location of the hotel is good and the rooms were clean, with a micro and small refrigerator. A few restaurants are within walking distance. An unexpected nice touch was the continental breakfast not mentioned online. Rooms are very, very pricey. Front desk couldn’t quote rates as “they are always changing” which was annoying to hear. Algorithms! Not good for the guest. Overall this was a disappointing and very expensive weekend trip.

The hotel is located on a Main Street so it is very noisy especially when the window is open.

The hotel was very walkable to a large number of sites and restaurants. Ocean view was beautiful

First of all the room is DIRTY AND NEEDS UPDATING DESPERATELY! The walls are stained with handprints, marks (some colored brown & red), dents and chips. The molding on the floor hasn’t been cleaned in years as there is a mound of dust & dirt. There were spiders on the ceiling and the closet door (huge one with a web), The refrigerator door is dirty, the dishwasher was not attached to the cabinets and had a huge unpleasant looking gap. The furniture is badly chipped and needs to be replaced. Finally read the description carefully regarding the view, it is a water view (which can be marsh) though you are paying for a beach view. You do not have room service and be prepared to either call the main hotel number or walk to the front desk if you need additional bedding as the phones did not work in our room. Finally the location is not great, the harbor hotels are better location and most are more updated with a slight price difference. If you have a reservation here consider alternatives.

Suite was very spacious. The 2 beds and 2 baths comfortably fit a family of 4. The outside shower was much appreciated after a day at Easton’s beach.

The smell outside was horrendous! I was never informed that a sewage treatment facility was nearby. The smell detoured us from enjoying the beach. Prior to my visit I called to inquire about ‘beach service’. The attendant reassured me that ’beach service’ was available. Unfortunately, this service was not provided. This was a huge miscommunication since I was traveling over 6 hours for a beach.

A great little getaway not far from home.

Seriously overpriced- front desk staff were lovely but overwhelmed and never answered phone. Spa is not a spa but a hotel room. Again, people are very nice but this property is not the luxurious retreat it purports to be.

Great place and staff. Only disappointment was not knowing that their restaurant and bar was not open for the season. Fairly expensive room and we expected a full service hotel resort. Hotels.com and the property should have made that clear. Deceptive!!! Not cool!!!!
