need to get the water slide working and clean the big spider webs in the hallway

The location and beach were amazing. Staff was very friendly. Not very clean however. We had to ask for different bedding due blood stains on the sheets. The curtains in our room also looked like there was blood splatter. Waterpark was ok, lots of things not functional. Game room was ok, again a couple things weren't functional.

Called ahead to ensure the pool area was open and told everything was functioning. Both slider were closed and the pool area was filthy. Algae growing on the floor and cloudy water. Entire hotel has an off putting smell and floors are filthy. Staff is friendly but seem inconvenienced to be there.

Room 104 had a horribly squeaky bed, noticed after unpacking. Had a uv light with (for rock hunting) and the bathroom was just disgusting. Gaps in molding adds to the not updated in 25 years feel. The 2nd room was nicer, 116. Overall dated. Both tvs didn’t work but not a huge deal. Nice view!! Exterior patio door had locks removed and was using a metal pole for a lock. Right outside 126 is a weird cubby like area with a single chair, clearly where an ice maker was, broke, and couldn’t afford to replace. Entire facility felt damp. Staff was friendly but I can’t imagine this hotel surviving much longer. Super disappointed. I asked first night for money back and we didn’t want to stay, but they offered to switch rooms. I have heavy regrets as this was on a much needed burnout vacation.

Before we could settle in, we drove to the nearest Walmart for a vacuum and was glad I had clorox wipes and lysol spray. I can handle the outdated rooms but the cleanliness was lacking for sure! AC unit and surfaces were covered in dust (layers/years of it), fridge was dirty and sticky (inside and out), and stairways and light fixtures were covered in spiderwebs and bugs. The beds were not very comfortable but thankfully didn't have bedbugs so we tolerated for rest. Also, security was lacking - exit/emergency doors were never locked or had security cameras. During the little interactions we had with staff - they were friendly and professional. The room was very spacious but bathroom was very small with shorter ceiling.

Pool was disgusting. Mostly broke down and water smelled. Brown pool bottom and green algae everywhere. Rooms are dirty, spiders everywhere. Black mold in bathroom on ceiling. Do not recommend

The water park attached is not nice big slide closed lazy river doesn’t have tubes or very few. Deflated ones lying around. View of lake is awesome but do not go there for water park, you’ll be disappointed.

The slides at the waterpark are closed, 5 tubes in the lazy river so it was hard for the kids to get a turn. The pool was drained but not roped off kind of scary with kids running
