Days Inn by Wyndham Ottawa West

This hotel is very tired and it shows. The bathroom has mold on the tiles and caulking around the tub. Kids running in the parking lot. The website says breakfast is available but it wasn’t. The only ice machine is something you would have at home on the counter.

Needs update Ice Machine in lobby was reachable for children and they were sticking their hands in. No one said a word. That was horrible! Board of Health concern

The room was clean and met out needs. The hallway however needs the carpet cleaned. There was an overwhelming smell of cigarette or cigar. The carpet needs to be steam cleaned or replaced. Also breakfast no longer offered.

The room itself was clean but the facility as a whole is in need of maintenance. The elevators

Immediately upon arrival at the hotel, I was told the charging station for my car was apparently not working. I was given my room key, headed to the elevators to which I found out. Only one elevator was working once you were finally able to get on that elevator you better. Hope you have a short trip as there is no air conditioning piped into it and it is stifling hot. You should also know the hallways felt close to the same. There was no working vent fan in the bathroom the room was at least clean. Bed was comfortable, however room and furniture werequite outdated. advertise that there was breakfast available which there was not also come to find out it is a full-time home for Refugees to which they allowed their children to run amuck throughout the hotel continuously at all hours of the day and night. The elevators were continuously running slowly because the kids kept playing on them and running up and down the halls. Not to mention all the kids in the parking lot Riding their bikes playing with basketballs some of which I witnessed bouncing off people’s cars. 10 and 11-year-olds out playing in the parking lot at 10-10:30 at night with no adults in sight. The only ice machine was on the sixth floor and the only microwave was on the first floor. Luggage carts are ancient and barely had enough room for a suitcase. No luggage rack in the rooms. Toilet plugged the very first night I was there. Water pressure was horrible. I will never book at the days Inn on Wyndham again.

We checked in and the staff member did not even speak to me they spent time conversing with someone else in the lobby. Kids running barefoot everywhere. Strollers crowding the hallway right off the elevators. Do not stay here as pretty sure many use this as housing and is not pleasant atmosphere

Days inn move me to another hotel because they are fully booked. And i have already reservation with them. i checked in at 12:44 am Monday. Not Sunday

Smooth check in. Friendly staff.

Room on first floor was way too humid and smelly.
