Quality Inn East Stroudsburg - Poconos

I was in a non smoking area. But the hallway smelled like cigarette.

It was very close to the Stroudsburg Hospital. Getting to office/lobby was tricky but there was so much construction going on which caused access confusing.

My room was clean but the floral scent used was overpowering. The bar/restaurant just happened to be closed not the normal just my luck..

It smells very bad and tv was broken and bed is very dirty and had stains, the bathroom was very dirty with stains on the walls, the worst place I ever stayed in .

Staff was friendly. Bartender was very courteous and gave great service. Food was good.

Pics were misleading water pressing in shower wasn't good at all.

Beds were comfortable. Close to local restaurants and the highway.

I asked about breakfast. It was served 6-9, I asked what was being served( as I prefer waffles to pancakes so I wanted to know) . There was a disagreement between the 2 staff as to what was getting served.. get your stories straight. I just said I would be surprised. We drove to our room and once we walked in, the smell of Marijuana was overpowering. I had to use my inhaler. Luckily the room did not smell, however upon waking we could smell it in our room. Why do pot smokers think it's ok to " smoke" pot? I complained at the desk at checkout and got a weak apology. I am sure this hotel is being used as a section 8 or whatever they call it in PA. The room was okay as far as being cleaned, shower was a little dingy with dirt behind the door and corners of the room and dusty lamp shades. Lighting was not adequate. The room was dark even with all the lights on and being on the first floor with unsavory characters walking around did not want to leave the curtain open. Breakfast area was a little hidden with no signs. An attendant helped with the prep of the waffles (yay!!) And brought them to our table. They were very nice and helpful and were deserving of a tip.
