Americas Best Value Inn Marshall

I would not normally have chosen America's Best Value Inn but it was an emergency situation. This hotel is terrible. Old, dirty,in great need of updating and just normal up keep. The clerk was neither friendly nor unfriendly. I was told that we couldn't check in early because they cleaning. Well they need to actually clean the rooms. 2 of the rooms we had the a/c units were leaking water in the rooms. Bathrooms in all 3 rooms needed to be cleaned before we could use them. If this hotel is representative of this hotel i don't see us ever using their brand again.

Ok, no problem.

Check in was horrible. The guy at the desk was barefoot and then he "had" to charge me $15 cash for my service animal which I couldn't get a receipt for. More than likely he put that money right into his pocket. Luckily the room was decent but the rest of the hotel is not comforting.

It wasn’t in the best part of time. Lots of screaming and yelling from other customers. Had I knew what it looked like, we would’ve stayed somewhere else.

Of the survey questions - 2 were most noticeable. We do not give a darn about EcoFriendly. Please do not include that question anymore. It is insignificant to anyone's stay at any hotel. What was most important was comfort and cleanliness. Comfort was good, the bed sheets and pillows were good. The restroom looked modernized. But what was embarrassing and unacceptable was the condition of exterior. Man what a mess. Dirt,mud, careless condition all over the walkways, steps, and hallways. I apologized to my GF about the condition. I hope the Patel owners quickly clean up the conditions b/c management showed no pride or care for its hotel appearance.

Clean place. Friendly people.

The place was old and worn. but, surprisingly the room was very clean and remodeled. The staff wasn't very friendly. Could use a little more hospitality. Overall, It provided a clean night of rest

It was clean and the customer service was great.

The place is undergoing renovations and our room was very neat and clean. The upgrades made it comfortable. There are extra outlets by the bed so phone charging was convenient.
