Homewood Suites by Hilton Anchorage

The location is very convenient - being in midtown. Its surrounded by several food options and in a centralized part of town. Transitioning from the lower 48, we stayed here for a few months and its the longest I've ever had to stay at a hilton property in general. The experience left me beyond pleased from the hotel management to the front desk experience and customer service experience that Aliyah and Kylie so excellently gave, to the buffet staff and especially housekeeping and the manager who oversees it. They were consistent, kind, personable, and very considerate in how accomedating and easily communicable they all were. The rooms were clean, the requested turn over service was always top notch and quick, the stock of needed material such as dishwasher pods or more soap was always met swiftly. It was a pleasure to stay here and it made me happy to have had the opportunity. Im glad to be a hilton diamond member and to have transitioned to the state with their hospitality and support

It was not far from the airport and the exterior looked well maintained.. Staff were very friendly

Firstly we rand reception 10 minybefore the train arrived and were told to ring when we were off the train with our bags. Rand when arrived and told an hour before shuttle would be there so we had to book an Uber. We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was very claustrophobic. There was fresh blood on the floor in the queen bed room. Sheets looked like someone had slept in them for a week. They were very thin and crinkled. Quilt was very thin and not warm at all. I did ask for another blanket the next day which helped a lot. Pillows looked old and misshapen. Aircon next to one of the beds was extremely noisy and kept going on and off. Breakfast only available till 9am. Furniture looked old fashioned and a mix match of chairs. Toilet blocked 3 times during our stay.

The room was big and spacious and clean.

The shuttle took longer to come that the time we were told and the driver on the way to the airport was not pleasant in attitude

One of the worst customer service experiences in recent memory. Have been a high volume Hilton customer since 1993 and earned lifetime Diamond status about 12 years ago. That did not help one bit with this stay. 3 night stay for which I requested housekeeping on 3 separate occasions and received NONE. Poor management? I’m not sure but this is a first and last time at this property. This is a shame because it’s actually a nice property aesthetically.

This hotel is our favorite in Anchorage. Aleah at the front desk is always helpful and friendly, and Karan in the kitchen makes sure the breakfast is hot and delicious.
