Easy access, reasonably priced relaxed motel, friendly customer service, secure entrances, which stop non motel patrons from aimlessly wandering around the hallways. Neighbourhood is a bit sketchy but I felt safe. The one thing I didn't like was, they tend to put families with babies & children on the same floor as we were on. I casually mentioned it to the front desk personnel and they offered to move us up one floor to the 4th floor without additional cost. I would definitely stay again.

The staff was very friendly, but the guests staying above us were incredibly loud. They kept us awake despite the ac on and a white noise machine playing. We had to call down to the desk 3:00 am and were advised a security guard would go up, but this didn’t solve the issue.

Love the bed! We got upgraded into a King size bed. Pillows are so comfy.

Very good value. Good experience. Will definitely recommend. The breakfast needs improvement like add more options. It is not necessary to be compliment but it depends on the quality and kinds. The executive room was very good and doesn't take much. Will come back definitely.

We went to Edmonton for my son's soccer tournament for 2 days. Before booking this hotel I first checked on line where are the pet -friendly hotel that we can stay. I'm glad that Howard Johnson is a pet-friendly hotel and the location to the two soccer centers are not that too far. Although the hotel is an older hotel , they provided us what we needed. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The rate is pretty reasonable as well. My furr babies are happy . This place is highly recommended. We'll stay again when there is a next tournament or just for a little big city get -away.

I come to Edmonton once a month and always stay here. The rooms are clean, reasonably priced and the staff is fantastic. Emma went out of her way to make this stay especially nice! I highly recommend staying here.

When booking our trip the previous reviews of this hotel said kind of blah outside but decent hotel. Well it should have said more like super sketch area of town and okay ish hotel. It had snowed and the parking had not been cleared in a few days which resulted in us getting stuck. The entire time I was worried my car was going to get broken into, stolen or vandalized as the neighbourhood was a little rough. The actual hotel wasn’t anything special. Our heater/ air conditioner sounded like something was dying every time it turned on and kept us up all night. We did decide to turn it off however that made the room much to hot and stuffy. The bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. We had a king size bed with a queen size blanket so we really couldn’t enjoy the comforts of the king size. The breakfast was good, fast and friendly workers there. Also the front desk staff was polite. However over all, it was just a disappointment.

Nice hotel, needs renovation. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Good location, about 25 mins from airport.
