Hotel Campanile Leicester

Bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sink in the bathroom was smashed. Didn’t provide much toilet roll and therefore was left with none.

I cancelled by booking 1 week before arrival using the company contact page. For some reason Campanile Leicester did not receive the cancellation notice and charged the full amount to my bank account. I rang them to ask them to refund the money but was informed that they would charge me for one night as a "no show". The difference was credited to my account 2 days later.

We were only staying for one night which is good because the room had no air-con and it was very hot! The walls are also thin and the people next door sounded like they were having a party. The shower was powerful and warm but the plug was full of dirt and gunk which meant the water took forever to drain away. The TV remote was a bit slow and only worked 10% of the time. There were also a significant lack of plugs in the room. Overall, for one night stay, the price and location is great so you can’t really complain!

Nothing like as nice as a French Campanille. The whole place was in desperate need of some TLC.

Rooms smell, opened the window because it was very hot, wouldn’t close again, room was alongside dual carriageway and noise was really bad. Won’t be staying there again!

Rooms are a bit squalid lacking in proper ventilation and beds are small & uncomfortable. What is lacking with the room is made up by the fantastic cooked full english breakfast 😀

Had to move rooms because there was obvious cigarette smoke in the room. Moved with no issue. Room was dirty. Room could use painting but it was alright

Comfy bed, extra tea coffe milk whenever you want it
