Club Wyndham Smoky Mountains

My boyfriend and I took a vacation to rest and relax in the mountains and we were pleasantly surprised. A little snow/ice storm came through town but that didn’t stop the fun. The staff went above & beyond to make sure we were comfortable, safe and taken care of. Our condo was next to the main building with all the amenities. We took full advantage of the gym, sauna, indoor & outdoor pools and the hot tub. It made the freezing temperatures pretty enjoyable. We have decided to make this an annual trip. I would rate everything about this place 5 stars!

Many of the overhead AC ducts were closed in room 2015 and could not be opened; maybe painted shut.

Resort is ok. Timeshare sales destroyed the experience. Via Armed Forces Vacation Club. I booked 7 days stay at this location. I had no requirement to listen to a time share presentation or talk to anyone about time share. Being retired military I tray to avoid this requirement at resorts. Booking price did not include discounts by the time share company. After checking in a was directed to another place in the lobby to pick up my keys. This was on Sun Nov 16. A will spoken young man then proceeded to convince us to set an appointment for WED Nov 19th for a 90 min presentation. We said no and just wanted our keys. This didn't stop the young and as he keep talking am me so no for over 20 Min. Finally, he said, just set the appointment and it will give me credit, then just cancel before your appointment. I said OK just to get my keys. He then said he needed a Credit card to hold the appointment. It was a 40-dollar deposit that would be refunded. We bulked, but it was clear I wasn't going to get my keys to the resort till I gave up the 40 dollars on my Credit card. The Card was charged within minutes. The very next day, (Nov 17, my wife went to the lobby and found the same man. She informed him that we decided to cancel the appointment. He took the appointment card and said OK, consider it cancelled. Your deposit will be refunded. On Tuesday November 18 after lunch the refund was not posted. Then I went to the front desk where the timeshare people were located. I told the lady what happened she said she was sorry and took my information and appointment details. Said she would turn this over to a supervisor and that would cancel my appointment and refund my money. She also said I was the fourth person to cancel that day all from the same person that set the appointment. On Friday. No refund had been posted; therefore, I contacted my CC company to dispute the charges. After 2 weeks CC company decline by dispute stating Wyndham gave them a policy letter stating in you miss the appointment the charges remain. CC want proof I canceled. These people selling timeshares are some of the lowest form of life that we live with. Look these people in the eye and state in your loudest voice. NO! I DO NOT WANT AN APPOINTMENT I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING FROM YOU BUT MY KEYS. Yes, make scene, they will let you go and lots of people waiting in line will follow your example. Wyndham is especially aggressive about selling time shares. Last the phone number of Wundham listed on my CC web page is a non working number. The link listed takes you to become a member site. Can't even contact this organization to form a complaint. All military, active, retired, veteran and or disabled vet. Avoid all Wyndham locations.

Our stay in newer renovated Building 22 was great! Very spacious with comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a big comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub with vanity, separate room with another smaller vanity, shower, toilet, and stackable washer and dryer. The guest bedroom has two full size comfortable beds. The guest bathroom is wonderful with a long, big double sink vanity with excellent drawer space and lighting. The toilet and tub/shower are in a room with a pull pocket door. Great supply of bath towels. Wish there was hooks on wall for hanging robe and towel to use after shower or bath. Large dining table that seats 6. Nice size pantry with shelving in kitchen. Nice coat closet as you enter unit. Well appointed kitchen with big sink, dishwasher, and cabinet has dishes, glasses, cookers, etc. Bar stools at kitchen counter. Living room is big with couch and two wing back style chairs. Wish they had recliners. Large balcony with beautiful view. Plenty of parking with awesome Security Guard that patrols the parking lot for safety. Check in and Check out were seamless with exuberant staff to welcome us. They all seem to love working there. Our building 22 had a level ramp to roll luggage cart to take elevator to our floor, so no steps to navigate. Although we didn’t participate, the resort offered a calendar of wonderful activities each day. Resort is located conveniently to quickly drive to main Parkway to get to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We stayed the week of December 12 and were surprised to find no Christmas lights outside the resort. Pigeon Forge was also not with many Christmas lights down the main Parkway.. only at certain places like The Christmas Place, The Island, etc. The wheel at The Island remained lit with red, white and blue…no Christmas colors. We drove to Gatlinburg where the Christmas lights were beautiful and well lighted all down the strip…loved that. Many of the lights on the poles in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge were old and dim…looks like the bulbs need to be replaced or add LED lighting that is brighter.

My kids and I took a road trip from Florida for Christmas and had the time of our lives!!! Let me start by saying that the town is lit up full of Christmas lights, every business has their own Christmas light display and it’s so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly, the kids activities were amazing and the views were breathtaking. There is so much stuff to do.. make sure you go see slide daddy and Jay and the Jayell family ranch, make a day of it!! The kids are begging to go back!

We thought we'd see the lights, and we did! The location of the resort is great, and the staff is fun and helpful! Special callout to Activities that make it obvious that the guests are the first concern

This resort was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. Limited activities right at the resort but tons of stuff to do in the area.

We have been members for 15+ years. Worst place we ever stayed. So many compliments and nothing done about it. First night numerous stains on comforter. Housekeeping did replace with fleece blanket but never got comforter and told there were none left. Trash in elevator, baby pool filthy dirty, walkways needed painted and cracking to the point of causing tripping. Picnic area had wood decaying and exposed dangerous nails. Maintenance ride around on side by sides through out the night making alot of noice. Maintenance take up 5-7 parking spaces, as we were in unit 19 and saw them leave at the same time every day. My husband has to get around by scooter and we could never park in front of our room. I have about 8-10 pics but Wyndham is not interested. I had launched compliment before we left and followed up for almost 2 months now. Noone will take my calls or call me back.

A great resort to stay at and very close to all of the attractions of the smokey mtn. area. The unit we stayed in was very nice and comfortable.
