Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Montrose - Black Canyon Area

This is a great Motel for the price.

The room itself was clean, but the bathroom’s overhead light was missing its cover, and there was quite a bit of dust and debris hanging down. I understand it’s an older hotel, but that maintenance issue was disappointing. Additionally, I experienced credit card fraud shortly after my stay — this was the only place I used that card during my trip, which is concerning.

The smell of stale cigarette smoke was overpowering. Sheets and blankets seemed clean but were stained. The pictures on Expedia certainly felt misleading. But, at the end of the day, there was hot water in the showers, we didn't spend a ton of money, and we were only there long enough to sleep. Could've been worse, but not much.

Great parking and clean room

Minimal. No jelly for toast. No hot food.

Furniture was beaten up. Cracked bathroom floor tiles, torn shower curtain, broken bathroom door, crappy vanity top. Couldn’t turn off air conditioner/heater. Really loud. Nothing on walls. Definitely in need of an upgrade. Crappy foam pillows. Blanket too lightweight. Sheets stained and worn.
