HL Suitehotel Playa del Inglés

Should be 3 * not 4. A bit dated. Never anyone behind the bar. We went self catering very limited kitchen cutlery a d bowls.

Arrival - reception was quick at check in Room on 8th floor, sea view, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Kettle, tea, coffee, sugar. Complementary bottle of wine and water. Shower gel now in dispenser on the wall lovely white fluffy towels. Nice balcony. Staff keep the hotel lovely and clean and tidy. Beautiful rooftop for sunbathing. Nice pool area on ground floor Faults - T.V has 1 English Channel, GB News but this channel continuously goes off, report to reception, they put it back on only for it to go off again. Other reviews mention this so why hasn’t it been fixed permanently? Food - absolutely disgusting. Tried evening meal twice and breakfast twice. Food cold, labels don’t seem to match the food. The breakfast bacon is like plastic, hot dogs for breakfast?. Toaster - you have to put bread through 8 times to get it slightly brown. Tried the Chinese night and Mexican night absolutely vile. Dishes were cold. We ate out for breakfast and evening meal 5 out of 7 days, we were half board. If the food cannot be brought up to standard the hotel should be offering a room only option

The hotel location was good, within walking distance to beach, bars,supermarket & Youmbo Centre. We stayed in room A1A, location great as few steps to pool & bar. Rooms were a little compact as there was no where to store suitcases. We went with friends & stayed for 11 nights. Hotel room was clean, no loud noises at night. Felt complaints were not addressed as example:- Spa visited, no staff around. Jacuzzi not working nor showers and water fall in the pool. There was a male hoilday maker in the sauna with nothing on !!! Reported this to the reception staff. Food good, BBQ outside most nights. Cost of sunbeds & umbrella on the beach 9 euros. Drinks expensive on the beach. 8 euros for 2 Pepsi. Visited the Yumbo Centre, lots of places to eat & drink & cheap.

We arrived late on Sunday 7th Sept, And we're checked in immediately and provided with a sandwich each, Our room 803 with sea view was spotless, We were half board and this suited us perfectly. The choice and quality of the Food was excellent, At one of the BBQs my partner asked for a sausage, but they weren't ready, The chef in the red hat brought it to our table when they were cooked , Which amazed us, The reception and restaurant staff were always helpful and pleasant, The chamber maids did an Amazing job every day. Never any problem getting a sunbed by the pool, We chose to use the roof top terrace which was very relaxing, Overall our visit to HL suites was both relaxed and enjoyable, And is in a great location to the Beach, shops and Bars We would definitely recommend this hotel, Thank you Ann and James xx

We are on our last night at this hotel. We stayed for 11 nights as a couple. We did not get off to a great start. Our room was not ready until 2.45 and having had a 2am start we just wanted to unpack and relax. We were allocated room 226, right next to the lift.. we unpacked and was having a shower when the banging started, the walls shook, we initially thought it was the lift but it was too regular. This was after i had requested a quiet room and i had an email confirming they had my request. It turns out we were directly under the gym, the banging noise was the dumbbells and weights being dropped.. We went to reception and asked if we paid more could we move rooms. The hotel was fully booked… Manuel then offered us another room but asked us to check it 1st… Much better and quieter, overlooking the pool.. great customer service Manuel. Thank you. The rest of the holiday has passed without event, the hotel is spotless, all the staff work so hard and always with a smile. The food is good with a different theme every night.. the BBQ is great , 3 times a week. Great steak. We did not use the solarium on the roof, preferring the pool instead. Nice and quiet. Makes all the difference being an adults only hotel. I would return on the understanding we did not have a room under the gym.

Just spent 10 days at this fantastic hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool was spotless. We were lucky enough to get a room in the 3 storey section, on the ground floor. This had direct access to the pool area, which we found amazing. The food was varied and plentiful. A different theme every night, with show cooking. A barbecue 3 times a week, which was very tasty!. It’s a buffet style restaurant, but waiter service for the drinks in the evenings. We normally would only be seated for a few minutes before someone took our drinks order. They also cook spit roasted chicken outside twice a week, there really is something for everyone. There is a rooftop bar, with great views over the area, beach and sea. There is also a nudist area, we used it for a few hours most mornings. No problems getting sun beds or parasols. It was my birthday while we were at the hotel. We went out for the day, and when we returned there was a box of chocolates and a bottle of sparkling wine on ice waiting in our room. A really nice touch. All the staff are friendly, and incredibly hard working. Hardly ever had to wait more than a few minutes to get served at the bars. A special mention to the guy in the pool bar ( I’m useless with names) but he always seemed on top of it, no matter how many customers were waiting. The only downside for us was the evening entertainment. A different singer every night, but they really should get together to endure they sing different songs! However, this took nothing away from our holiday, and we will definitely come back in the future!!

Reception was good, we arrived after dinner and received sandwiches, we probably would have had time to have gone to the restaurant for pizza or cheese but this wasn't offered. We got a nice room C1 with a bit of a sea view. The room was very clean with a large walk in shower, shower gel, small bar soap and other toiletries are provided. The beds are not that comfortable and very creaky. There is a small fridge but it's not that cold. The safe is charged. The room is very clean with plenty of wardrobe space etc.. The pools are great, plenty of sunbeds and parasols. We were half board, the breakfast was really good but I did expect the dinner to be better, but the service was great. The best thing about this hotel for me was the solarium on the roof with fabulous views and hot tubs, there is a nude side also. All in all a lovely stay and I can recommend.

We stayed here at the end of July and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The hotel is spotless throughout with all staff being friendly and hard working. Food is fresh and plentiful and always being topped up by the staff. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom too. The beds have to be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! I would have happily stayed an extra couple of nights and will definitely consider returning.

Very friendly and helpful staff, all spoke English. Lovely room with tea/coffee facilities, shower gel and even a toothbrush and paste. Complimentary water and bottle of wine in the room. You're given a beach/pool towel so no need to take one. Fantastic rooftop jacuzzis as well as 2 huge pools (and a shallow pool). There is always plenty of sun beds. Food is different each night all with excellent quality.

Great hotel, rooms fantastic we stayed in one of the hot tub rooms, cleanliness fantastic, maids, waitresses and waiters and ground persons all lovely, food was of good quality with lots of different choices. Reception staff were a little cold when asking a question. The only issue we had was there were no English tv channels other than news, this may be a small issue but it would of been nice to relax when in room to have a couple of English channels other than the news.
