The hotel is in good condition and employees are friendly. The room service is non existent, You cannot ask for a bottle of water in the room. The worst is that a 4 stars hotel with more than 200 rooms do not ave a single parking space reserved. Having to park your rental car 800 meters away is not a pleasant experience.

We visited hotel just after Christmas and made a point of returning at Easter. On arrival as we arrived quite late was pleasantly surprised to be given an 'picnic' which was very appreciated. Could not fault staff in any part of hotel, bars restaurant etc. We spent the majority of our time on the 9th Floor sunset bar and after staying at Christmas requested a room on the 8th floor (which we got) a quick walk up the stairs to sunbeds and bar where we enjoyed a few coffee's (an other drinks😱). I agree that hotel was dominated with Germans but we found everyone to be friendly and welcoming. Breakfast we enjoyed, lunch we took at the poolside bar and we always found something to our taste at dinner. Would have no hesitation in returning and hope to o so in the near future...

This is our 4th stay at this hotel and it was as amazing as our other visits. The room was clean and had everything you could need. The staff all throughout the hotel are lovely and so helpful. The food was very good, freshly cooked food for a different theme each night, fresh grilled food and a BBQ outside as well as a large salad bar, cheese area and desserts. looking forward to coming back in September

Let’s be fair, this is a lovely hotel, nice rooms, excellent daily cleaning, beautiful rooftop bar area and overall, a nice relaxed place. However, just a few little complaints which I think could and should be addressed by the management. We were told when checking in that long trousers MUST be worn at dinner, ( which we always did ), but a fair few men wore shorts and were never challenged. If you’re setting rules, make sure they’re enforced. In the lounge bar we ordered our drinks and were told they’d be brought to our table. This sometimes took over 20 minutes which is unacceptable. We should be able to order at the bar and take our drinks away with us… Simple. 64 tv channels and only one English speaking channel, GB news which I was happy about as I watch that regularly. However, half the time there was no signal on that particular channel !. One out of 64 is pretty poor. Food generally was good but undoubtedly catered for the Euros rather than British, (especially breakfast), which I suppose is fair as the hotel was 85% Germans. And what we found was staggering, lots of cheese and NO biscuits at dinner !!. And finally, wherever we stay normally, we are greeted for dinner and seated. Here it’s a free for all and as we were a party of 4, rarely managed to sit together and to be fair, the guys who seemed to be in charge weren’t much use. The whole system in the dining room seems a little disorganised as far as the staff are concerned. So, overall, lovely hotel but if the above were addressed by the management, I’d give it 5 stars and it’d be a ‘brilliant’ hotel.

Reception were quick on checking in. Floor 2 overlooking entrance. Was a bit worried as 255 by lift but could not hear it but you can hear weights above in gym being banged around. No noise at night our side so slept with door open. Air con so say worked but temp never changed. Negative is storage terrible and could have a massive chest of drawers as the space. How are you meant to reach hangers if short. Coffee in room terrible so take your own plus no milk just powder. Awful brown threadbare bed covers and cushions. These are so outdated and vile as all sit on them yuk. I never understand these items in a hotel. At-home yes not in a well used hotel. Bin these please. Safe 20 euros seriously in an all Inc? Not needed as perfectly safe. Bought one packet of crisps 2.50 no indication of price until check out bill. Positives Ignore all the comments of food.  I have been to many all Inc and this is by far up there with Barcelo chain. If you can't find something you like you are a beige eater. Yes lots for Germans but that is pretty much all of Spain. Porridge toast croissants fruit yoghurt plus full cooked with eggs in abundance. Lunch by far best experience as quiet and serene. Dinner time 6 30 is like a cattle market but again still quite good as no children screaming. I still am not sure on all touching handles and plates. The times seen people pick up and put down plates yuk. After covid I did like the plastic gloves but get a cost and not good for environment. Every night a different theme and don't forget to go outside for bbq 3 times a week. Sunbeds  - oh my a luxury not to have to reserve absolutely brilliant. Plenty left even at 1pm. By pool bar is an exit out with card. Get bus out of hotel to left on right. Faro de maspslomas cost 1 euro takes you to lighthouse and beach. Melonares to right love it there! Got a taxi back 10 euros. Expensive shops. Beach if it is not windy 2 beds and brolly 7.50 euros. Best thing is shower omg so powerful and great pressure. Cleaners amazing and do room every day. Rooftop nice and lady up there works so hard. Walk out onto promenade and just on right is a lift down to beach after doing steps first night!!! If you walk to the end brilliant bar called Tipsy Hammock great live music day and night! Ignore BBC forecast its meant to be raining now and glorious! Great week away. Thank you x

3-4 timed staying at the hotel, room on 7th floor, partial sea view, mainly overlooking church and Kasbah Centre. Close to beach and promenade. Hotel and rooms spotlessly clean, comfy beds, plenty hot water and spacious terrace/balcony. Wish TV had more English channels, only 2 and one awful GB news channel that should NOT be used. Good choice of food at breakfast and evening meal, including BBQ, smoothies, fresh orange etc. restaurant are does get quite busy. Plenty beds and space on roof top terrace. Please return with live music on the roof top bar, much better than down stairs. Nice SPA area, small but great to use and rarely busy. Yoga on terrace and beach. Nice little shop within hotel building. Octavio (reception) is the best we’ve experienced, outstanding communication skills, multi lingual, kind, compassionate, caring and helpful (one of us was ill for a few days). Really helpful about medical advice and even offered to drive us. Jawad and Laura were also really friendly, efficient and hard working. Great hotel, definitely return.

First of all this is not a Riu hotel,only ever really been to Riu hotels,thought this would be comparable but it is not. First of all our room did not have private balcony but a terrace with a partition either side so neighbours could freely walk past your room. The breakfast was okay usual fare but nothing ever seemed hot,just to add the hotel it seems really caters for a more German clientell so loads of sausages,cold meat and cheeses (breakfast)but to be fair you could have a full English breakfast as well. Room small with inadequate storage,safe hire 3 euros a day. There are no prices when you sign for drinks,so you have no idea what you're spending. Now the good stuff. Loads of free sunbeds and two lovely semi heated pools. The hotel and rooms are very clean and all the staff are professional and really friendly. The entertainment is poor normaly just one singer and a backing track. Would I come back?No, it is a Riu hotel for us.

Well maintained hotel with good facilities. We stayed half board and there was a wide range of food at breakfast and a reasonable selection in the evening. The resteraunt as othere have said is a bit like a cafeteria with tables close together but this can give you the opportunity to talk to your neighbours. Rooms, en-suite facilities are large and the balcony does not feel cramped. Beds were cofortable and our only criticisms were there wasn't any draw space so clothes had to be piled on top of each other on the shelving plus the hanging rail was too high making it difficult to hang up clothes if you are a shorter person. We only used the roof bar that provided excellent views over the local area and was spacious with plenty of seating. The hotel has an outside gym on the third floor with a reasonable selection of equipment and plenty of exercise space. Some reviews have mentioned that the surrounding area is derelict that is in our opinion an overstatement; there is an abandoned underground shopping mall that is fenced off and another that could certainly do with some tender love an care but other that that the hotel is about 5/8 minutes from the beach restaurants with bus stops within 50 or so metres and an excellent grill and steakhouse (Toro Plaza) with the same distance.

We enjoyed our stay here in February. Stay in the three-storey wing if you can: the lift is always there with no waiting, you have an ocean view, and everything is close by. The restaurant is very good, but dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. You should be there on time to get a good table, your drinks ordered, and you get to the buffet before it is turned over. By 7 p.m. it's usually crowded and you'll have trouble catching a waiter. A lot of the food will have gone after 7 p.m. and the hot plates do not get replaced. We also entered by the less crowded side entrance. There are a couple of excellent restaurants around: "Social Tapas" and " Lovin Food" stand out. The pools are never crowded and the loungers never get reserved. We wondered where everyone goes, but then the beach is nearby. The staff are very good, and the room was serviced every day. Drinks are reasonably priced and there's an excellent Spar next door. The rooms are adequate, the bathrooms modern, and the a/c sufficient. A very good place to stay.

We stayed for 7 nights and it was nice/relaxing. The food was nice but not diverse. Breakfast and lunch was always the same thing but in the evening they had different menus like sushi or indian. I liked that. The only things we didn’t like was the bed. We booked a double bed but we got two single beds.. and that we had a cockroach on the balcony on our last night.
