Hotel Wailea, Relais & Châteaux - Adults Only

It was an amazing boutique resort the property is beautiful and very relaxing a different vibe from the other Wailea resorts the staff is great and the amenities are nice including the shuttles to anywhere in the Wailea area. Definitely would come back and say if you get a chance to check it out loved our suite

Transported to a luxurious location with friendly staff and dining that was first class. Love the solitude of the adults only vibe.

Book your stay in Maui at this hotel. You won't regret it. The rooms are amazing. The staff is incredible and so friendly. The three course meal at the Restaurant was one of our best dinners on the island. I wish more hotels were adult only. It made fora very peaceful honeymoon trip.

Omg! The bed felt Like I could sleep forever. I usually need a sleep aide. Never once did I need on the whole the sleeping in the bed. the pillows the linen silk soft smooth like a feather against the body caressing in every aspect the amazing decor just everything the snacks water attention to detail impeccable meticulous just the way it should be!! The best ever!!! The most memorable extraordinary time of our lives. Been together 25 years !! Never experienced anything like it in the world!!! We love Hotel Wailea And will stay no where else in the world. Thanks sooo much!

I recently visited Hotel Wailea for my wedding anniversary with my husband and we were completely blown away. It's the only hotel on the island with a luxury boutique vibe, and once you know about this place, you won't want to stay anywhere else on Maui. My favorite part are all of the experiences available that are so easy to book through their site and are geared towards romance. When we arrived, caviar and champagne were waiting for us in our room (available to add to your stay via their website experience list), the second we sat down at the pool each day waters were immediately placed at our seats by the pool bar staff, and if we wanted to go to any beach, the bell staff was there ready to take us with chairs and an umbrella in an instant. They also happily drove us to the shops at wailea, ABC store, grocery, all at no extra cost. I hightly recommend the Chef's Garden Table dinner experience (which we did for our anniversary), located in the garden of the restaurant, it was just the right amount of intimacy with an amazing view for sunset. The chef was so friendly and you could tell he put so much effort into every detail on his food, not just on presentation. We left SO happy. Breakfast is absolutley amazing as well. The Luxe Beach Picnic is also worth every penny, and allows your to enjoy some of Maui's most beautiful tucked away beaches while also providing lunch, snacks, a shade cover and snacks. I know there are many options for hotels on Maui (and in the Wailea area) but there's something to be said for an adults only (no kids!) hotel that truly feels like home, but in a luxurious way. Once you stay here you won't want to stay anywhere else on the island and we truly consider them family now!

The pool space, surrounding area and the view from the room were incredible. The birdcage also had a really pretty view and the space was so well thought out.

We were quite disappointed with elements of service. Our first evening at the birdcage was underwhelming with both service and food. The housekeeping was good however if we weren’t out early enough for turn down (6:30pm) they would just ask us what towels we needed and give them to us. It just felt as though the cost of the hotel didn’t match the service being offered. On the whole everyone was friendly, just sometimes an odd contrast. They had a beautiful sunset lawn that should definitely be more utilised for cocktails and some events.

We had an incredible stay at Hotel Wailea and would highly recommend it for couples. We were greeted with fresh leis, champagne, and macarons on our arrival. Our garden-view suite was spacious and equipped with a kitchenette stocked with cutlery and glasses. The bathroom had a generous soaking bath tub and open concept shower. Each evening, we returned to completed turndown service with locally-crafted chocolates. The suite was also refreshed daily with carafes of sparkling and flat water, sodas, and snacks. We never felt hungry during our stay! The hotel was prompt about refreshing our water and snacks when requested. The lushly landscaped grounds of the hotel were absolutely stunning, with waterfalls, koi ponds, and charming little bridges. Despite the hotel being full, it often felt like we had the place to ourselves, which added to the sense of serenity. Hotel Wailea is not on the beach, but the hotel has drivers who will escort you to any of the beaches in Wailea (and provide you with water, towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas). Also, the hotel has an arrangement with a business on Wailea Beach where the business will set up an umbrella and loungers for you--all included in the price of your stay! The swimming pool was stocked with sunscreen and after-sun gel, and there were always plenty of loungers available without needing to rush out early to claim a chair. There were a handful of cabanas that were free to claim and they rarely filled up. We also took advantage of the free morning fitness classes, including aerial yoga and stretching, which gave us a healthy start to each day. Fitness buffs should check out the open-air gym, which has a great view of the ocean. We had both breakfast and dinner at the Restaurant at Hotel Wailea. Breakfast was hearty and satisfying. The servers were warm and attentive. One of our favorite spots was the Birdcage restaurant—filled with twittering tropical birds and offering a romantic view of the sunset. The hotel provides a free car service with luxury vehicles like Range Rovers and a Mercedes electric car. The drivers were prompt, and pickup times were typically under five minutes. Being able to get around the Wailea area quickly and comfortably enhanced our trip experience. Overall, Hotel Wailea blends luxury, tranquility, and thoughtful service in all the right ways.
