Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa

Very outdated, screaming for a facelift and definitely not worth the daily room fees. Especially not if the rates for the old, original room structure are the same as the ones in recently built expansion. Lackluster performance housekeeping. Food not better than average.

Poorly run golf course-dated and poorly soundproofed accommodations-no elevators-it feels like a Motel6 with a western theme-another reason not to come to this part of Texas! Food is nothing special , staff is nice but doesn’t make a difference

Perfection

A remarkably nice place, for such a remote location. The front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The Candelilla Cafe was pricey but very nice. There are less expensive options in nearby Terlingua, and the resort itself has Boardwalk Bakery & Pizzeria. Our room was in the “Calvary Post” area and very comfortable with a cute “Old West” look. The Wi-Fi worked well and the shower and refrigerator were fine. A little updating might be appropriate, but we were pleased overall.

Very friendly staff, great views, amazing food and drinks. It was the perfect oasis in the middle of the desert.

Our room was not ready when we checked in at 4:15. We were told we would receive a text when our room was ready. We ate at the restaurant and then sat in the lobby waiting for a text. At 6:25, I went back up to the desk. They said, “Oh sorry, out text service is not working. All the rooms are ready.” It was frustrating.

Very comfortable accommodations in the middle of no-where! This is our fourth visit to the Lajitas golf resort in last 10 years. Very challenging golf course with equally challenging greens. Food in restaurant was excellent. What can you say about big bend! And all this and we’re still in Texas!

Great options for eating as not many other options

The service was outstanding, the rooms were comfortable, but could use some updating. The golf course is beautiful and the restaurants were excellent. You don’t have to leave the resort if you don’t want to. The café was fantastic for breakfast or coffee anytime of day. We would definitely stay again. My husband love the golf course. It’s absolutely breathtaking.

Great oasis in the desert. First class accommodations! Shot Sporting Clays and had a blast! Well laid out coarse with a great host. Cafe, if you want to call it that, more of a 5 star restaurant, has great choices and great food. Staff was awesome.
