McInnes House rooms with breakfast

A very nice and cosy place to spend a night in the highlands. The staff and food are amazing. Special call out to Liz who promptly helped us with everything we needed with a smile on her face. Must visit if you are looking for a cosy place to get the local vibe as well.

Small hotel 9 bedrooms, in a nice part of the country. Lots of choice in the area so needs to set high standards. Bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floor . Probably due to it bring early season, the bar wasn’t open at night, however we just went along to the duke of gordon. Food was nice, just what i would expect in s family run hotel. In high season the restaurant / bar meals are likely to be very busy so maybe be aware of that.

Perfect stay. We stayed in room 9. Spacious clean lovely bedroom. -good facilities. Food was amazing. Perfect location for walks/ visiting attractions. Liz (I think) the woman who greeted us was very friendly and made our stay 10x better.

The room had everything we needed but what made the stay was the friendly staff and the delicious food. We ate at the restaurant, and had breakfast the next morning. Rory, a young waiter, was so pleasant and smiley. Liz made us feel completely at home, answering all our questions. I will definitely be back.

The shower was too hot even when on cold had to have a sit down shower

Really enjoyable meal where I took my mother out for early Mother’s Day meal. I had steak pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. My mother had chicken & mushroom dish with seasonal veg and Sticky Toffee pudding too. Although main course was good, the dessert has got to be the best I’ve had in a long time. Really decent helping of sticky toffee pudding and 3 balls of ice cream. None of this dry cake, tiny portion with tiny scoop of ice cream. Great helping of ice cream and large cake (ideal moist texture in centre of cake). 5/5 for taste & quality. To top it off as a local we got 25% off meal (which discovered when giving tip) Class!

We were warmly welcomed and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff was memorable. Requests for variations from standard provision were met with encouragement and organised without delay.

The food was wonderful. Liz was cooking and also helping with our travel plans. Excellent staff !
