McInnes House rooms with breakfast

Excellent service from start to finish. A warm welcome, amazing choice of food and drinks - some great sounding cocktails - and service, especially from Liz, was second to none, but all the staff were friendly and attentive. Very much looking forward to going back.

The man at check in wasn’t interested in good customer service just pointed in the general direction of my room then my room was tiny and dated, the pillows where in a pile on the bed stained and with no covers on them. The food was ok but the bar man was rude and when I asked about the way he poured my Guinness he was very rude then continued to slag me off when I sat down to the chef thinking I couldn’t hear him overall awful experience

Fabulous Surprise 70 th Birthday meal with friends. The food was EXCELLENT!! As was the Service from Liz. What an absolute gem.Made us all feel so welcome. Really enjoyed her Company. As for the desserts 🥰🥰What can I say Rhubarb and custard cake with custard. Double Yum!!

A warm welcome awaited, and check in was simple. Nothing seemed a bother. The room was well furnished, clean and had all the conveniences you'd expect. We had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was amazing!! Set us up perfectly for another long day of hiking.

The spa bath didn't work, but we were told in advance and it wasn't the reason we booked anyway. The bath was huge and inviting regardless, after days of walking in the hills.

The staff were super helpful and friendly and the rooms were large, comfortable and well designed. Dinner in the restaurant was great and Scottish breakfast is excellent!

The bathrooms perhaps need updating but they were very clean. The hotel bar closes at 9:30 pm.

I stayed for seven nights and ate in the hotel every evening. The hotel was quiet at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and spacious. The food was well cooked and I enjoyed every meal. The hotel is handily situated on the main Kingussie high street, close to the shops, and parking at the hotel is easy. I would return.

We chose Kingussie because we wanted a quiet stay and stumbled on this hotel by chance. It was a real fortune! The hotel has a lot of charme and character. It is quiet, the food is plentiful if you choose to dine in and the staff very friendly and kind. A special mention goes to Peter, who gave us very good advice on places to visit, and to a very nice, very young apprentice waiter whose name I do not know!

Location was good and plenty of parking spaces. The room and bathroom were clean.

Our room was very small - room 3. The TV had difficulty getting basic channels like BBC1 and ITV. The hand soap and showel gel had run out and not been replaced. The knob to turn the shower on and off was missing - it was still functional. We did report these things to reception before we left.

Nice place, but the toilet leaked the whole three days we were there.
