Mirage Inn & Suites

Greeting by owner was not friendly. The only handicapped parking is while you are checking in, otherwise you park in a basement. The room was clean and roomy. We did get a room with windows facing the street. My granddaughter had a room with a window that faced a cement wall. Our room had a couch, but the TV (which had a very small screen) could not be viewed from the couch. My S/O has a blind eye and poor vision in the other eye which wasn't a good combination. He also uses a walker to get around so he was not able to use the stairs to and from the basement. I am still recovering from two knee replacements which made the basement trip difficult for me When I asked to park in the handicapped parking for 1 hour, the male owner treated me rudely and was very disrespectful. He informed me my time was up and to get my car to the basement. If you are in any way physically compromised this is not where you want to stay. There are more important things to consider to be close to the zoo and beach. Our stay was to be close to SFSU.

Affordable, clean stay in SF directly across from the Zoo, walk to Ocean Beach. Java Beach Café is right next door, highly recommend the Irish Soda Bread.We were here for Golf and it is 10 minutes drive to Harding Park. Be sure to take your clubs to your room because the parking lot is not gated. BUT, free parking, family friendly, safe, affordable…I highly recommend the Mirage for a short stay.

I was pleasantly surprised on how nice the room was and how comfy the bed was. Shower head was great. Room was very clean. The room had several outlets with USB and USBC options! Having free, but very tight parking, was nice. If the man working the desk had been kind I would’ve scored this place higher. If you don’t care about the front desk personnel then you’ll be fine here!

Room was clean. Limited amenities. No Kleenex and poor quality toilet paper. Room looked out on a cement wall. Two coffee packets and only one condiment packet. Very inconvenient parking and (I am assuming the owner) was very rude to my grandmother when she asked to stay parked in the handicapped area for 1 hour. They have a handicapped parking permit, but the Mirage only allows you to park there to check in. You then have to park in a basement area. Very inconvenient. We were trying to find a place close to SFSU as I am enrolled there and family will be coming to visit. This is definitely not the spot.

Little nice hotel. Host could be a little bit friendly. But I do recommend it!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mirage. Located next to a delicious pizza place . Market with you my sandwiches and a cute coffee shop. Staff was nice. The parking is tight but convenient and free. Our room was great with a view of the ocean. The room had a fridge and cooktop but no dishes and the microwave did not work. Newly renovated and comfortable beds. Ac worked great I would definitely recommend the Mirage for a stay in the sunset . Definitely quite even though we were right in the road.

Not a bad building and rooms but very unhelpful and rude staff.
